Other Collectible Items?

Dragoon has introduced us to an idea new to Smash Bros., collectible items.

You get them, and they are held above your name.

So, this item allows you to do an uber move, but what if that spot above your name has other uses, too?

I want you to think of what sorts of items are collectible, with the aim to form a complete item from parts.

My first thought is the Triforce. You collect 3 Triforces. Once you have the whole thing, your attack and/or defense strength increases a lot.

Zelda games have a lot of examples, actually. The Mirror of Twilight would be a good one, you could envelop your enemies in a Twilighty mist or something.

I remember a part in Metroid Prime 3 Corruption where you have to build a bomb. That's a possibility.

I'm sure there are others. Ideas?

Master Emerald pieces... lol. If you collect 3 (or maybe 4-5 so it won't be the same as for Dragoon), the Master Emerald will be build through the pieces and Chaos appears and attacks your enemies.

Chaos Zero sounds like more of an AT than an item. I guess that's okay... Hm...

How about a Plusle and Minun, and they try to run away so it's harder to catch them, but if you do, they combine into a Pichu AT?

or another good one would be the star rod pieces from kirby's adventure.

or [Insert MOTHER 3 item here] and a [Insert MOTHER 3 item here] to unleash the [Insert MOTHER 3 attack here].

Dragoon is one of the machines from Kirby Air Ride. He even says that on the DOJO!!

I had an idea of there being the Chaos Emerald as an item; each time it appeared for you it would be a random color, and when you picked it up, it would perform Chaos Control/Time Stop for 15 seconds, slowing down everything except you.

Now with this collection system, it'd be cool if, when you managed to collect 7 Emeralds in a row, you could get an instant Final Smash (working with the fact that Sonic's FS is a true effect of collecting all 7)

Collect five Porygon parts (Head, body, both legs, and tail) and Porygon fights alongside you? I'd like that. Or maybe you open a Pokeball and the pieces fly out to random parts of the stage so you must collect them.

So what you are trying to say is that the Wii is not able to scale sprites? Guess the Wii sucks at something we've been able to do for quite some time.

So you have 2 pieces of the dragoon, pick up a chaos emerald, and you lose those two dragoon pieces...

Whoa, Courage, Wisdom, and Power? That's sick! The power of you character who wields it would increase substaintually! However, I think there should be more to it than that. Lets say Ganon rightfully has ok (lets also assume he's confirmed.) Well the Power Piece is rightfully his and he knows how to use it so he should be more powerful than anyone else who picks it up.

I actually hope there aren't too many items like the Dragoon, otherwise it will lose its uniqueness. I can see maybe one or two more like it, but I think I'd actually prefer the Dragoon to be the only multi-part item. (Besides what happens when you play with ONLY those items? You'll run out of room above your icon)

only thing i can think of is hydra, i cant see sakruai putting more then 2 in, it would be too hectic with pices of 12 different items floating around everywhere
