first off i didn't need to make the monkey actually smoking a cigarette, he was really doing that in REAL life. secondly the ape symbolizes man as a primitive being who's very conscious lies in being accpeted by an unrational, unintelligent society; with social influences, however unhealthy (i.e smoking cigarettes), controlling his very life. As we can see from this banner, true the cliche may exist with the physical aspects of this picture, but it is the thought provoking message behind it that makes it original. thirdly i'm just so go**** lazy I couldn't fathom making another gee-gosh-darn banner with another picture.

Oh and kirby doesn't smoke. He has morals

You can come to one of our weekly "sparring sessions". Though not widely known, the "Eugene Kumite" is held every weekend there isn't a TANG; I'm going to start listing those on the first page. But if you're looking for an actual tournament, you might want to check out the as-of-yet-unnamed Public Eugene Tournament listed (on the 22nd). Eugene Smashfests only have "real" tournaments when enough people come as entrants.

And I would like to know who might go to the public tourny because it isn't sounding too popular right now. I would REALLY appreciate it if a lot go but by the sound of Tommy's reply it looks like not a lot of people will go.

The reason there's not much discussion about the tournament at the end of the month is because it's still not 100% official - I need to get ahold of Ratking to see what's up with this Washington tourney Portlanders are going to. Rest assured, there will be more than just a couple players going to this tournament as I'm already talking to SWFers about attendence and plan on advertising it around town.

Hmm, I just want to be able to meet everyone since I don't do smash fests/tournies very often if at all. Do you have any more information or will it continue to be tentative? I would like to know the entry fee, and I have a couple TVs and a gamecube with smash if you need any of that.

As James mentioned earlier, a number of Oregonians are going up to WA next week, myself included. This means that the tournament I was going to hold will have to be rescheduled. With E3 coming up next month, it might have to be sometime around mid-May. Sorry about that.

The crew battle we did at Blair's was rigged, my batteries were dying on me. I could barely take out two of Jame's stock. I call shenanigans
I say we make it a little more interesting, put like... $10 each into a 10v10 battle royale.

I'm guessing the WA vs OR crew battle will likely be in WA, i.e. Gimpyfish's house. In Gimpy's thread he says he'll record the matches, so if you don't end up going you'll at least get to see how things went.
