Introducing the first Orange County Arcadian! This event is specifically for OC residents/students that have never been ranked in Orange County or in SoCal. The idea of this event is to garner competition amongst the lower/mid-level players, while making sure that every gets tons of matches.
We will be using the list of cities from the orange county government itself to determine who lives in the OC: http://www.ocgov.com/about/infooc/links/oc/occities

➢Location: UCI Student Center, Pacific Ballroom C, First Floor
➢Schedule:
11:00am - Venue opens
12:00pm - Doubles Starts
2:00pm - Wave A Singles Starts
4:00pm - Wave B Singles Starts
6:00pm - Top 48 Starts
11:00 - Venue Closes
➢Registration:
Pre-registration is MANDATORY and ends on Friday, November 10th. You must pay online, no exceptions. Register here: smash.gg/oc-arcadian Keep in mind, it’s cheaper the earlier you register!
➢Price:
You must pay online at smash.gg/oc-arcadian
Venue Fee:
- Early Bird Registration: $5.00 if paid before October 17th 11:59pm.
- Regular Venue Fee: $7.50 if paid before November 7th 11:59pm.
- Late Venue Fee: $10.00 and ends on November 10th 11:59pm.
Entry Fee: $5.00 for singles, $5.00 for doubles ($10.00 per team for doubles)
➢Discounts:
-$3.00 Venue Fee discount per person for bringing a full setup (console + CRT), even if we hit our cap of 32 setups. Does not stack with itself.
-$2.00 Venue Fee discount for being a TAG member.
-These two discounts stack with each other, meaning you are able to get a fully refunded Venue Fee!
➢Format:
48 Team cap for Doubles, 160 Entrant cap for singles
Doubles will be one DE bracket.
Singles will be RR pools of ~10 people per pool. Top 3 make it out into a Top 48 DE bracket
Top 6 of doubles will be bo5, and top 8 of singles will be bo5
➢Payouts:
100% of the entry fee will go towards the prize pool
All payouts will be handed out via Paypal, we will not be handling cash at the venue.
Because this is an arcadian event, the payout is structured to not be as top-heavy. We will be paying out to top 16: 22/15.5/12.5/10/7.5/7.5/5/5/2.5/2.5/2.5/2.5/1.25/1.25/1.25/1.25
(Payout structure subject to change depending on how many entrants there are)

➢Parking:
The UCI Student center is directly across the street from the UCI Parking Structure. It is $2 per hour to park there, or $10 for the whole day. We suggest carpooling to make this price cheaper per person!
You can also park at UTC for free, but be warned as those spots are limited by time and technically require you to buy something from UTC. Park there at your own risk.
If you are bringing a large setup that requires a cart, please let us know, and we can attempt to accommodate you.
➢Food:
There is a Wendy’s, Subway, and Starbucks all on campus less than a 1 minute walk from the venue. There is also UTC which is a 5 minute walk from the venue across the bridge, which has: Chipotle, Blaze Pizza, Chik-fil-a, In-n-out, Taco Bell, Cha For Tea, and many other establishments.
BEING LATE FOR YOUR MATCHES BECAUSE YOU WERE OUT GETTING FOOD IS NOT A VALID EXCUSE, YOU WILL BE DQ’D IF YOU ARE LATE AND DID NOT LET THE TO’S KNOW.
