Today's update, Trophy Stands, leaves more questions than it answers, as per usual with Sakurai.

"The bigger size means an increase in Shadow Bugs." What are Shadow Bugs? What does this mean for the Subspace Emissary?

"You must turn the enemies directly into trophies to get them! The item that is needed to do this is a trophy stand." How do we get trophy stands? Will we pick them up as items along with the Bumper and the Poke Ball? Can we pick up more than one at a time?

"I’ll make it so you’ll somehow be allowed to fight the bosses even after you’ve already cleared the game." How will we fight these bosses again? Will we have to play through the Subspace Emissary again, or will they be collected along with our trophies and stickers?

**** you, Sakurai. Why won't you give us a straightforward update that only gives answers?

Keeping board records with Red Koopa.
I think it's kind of fun when he leaves us with questions. It's fun to speculate, if it doesn't get out of hand.

But I'll answer these questions.
1: I think the Shadow Bugs are probably that purple stuff that we see that forms into Primid. Or maybe they are something you collect...
2: I think it'll be treated as a normal item. You can pick up one of them (per character) and you'd pick them up like you do normal items. (A button)
3: I think you will be able to replay through the SSE and battle the bosses, but I think he'll put in boss endurance.

1. Shadow bugs, imho, are the deus ex machina explanation for transport in this game.

2. You get trophies much like any item I would guess, wait for it to drop then use.

3. Anyone remember Arena mode in Kirby Superstar? That would have to be my best guess for boss replay.

1) Maybe Primids are like puppets commanded by Shadow Bugs? (those little purple bubbles)
2) They'll be just like any other Item, they randomly appear, you pick them up, you throw them. How can you pick more than oen at a time? Since when can you pick 2 items?
3) You probably have to play SSE again, just like you can play Adventure mode again on Melee.

Oops. I worded this a bit oddly. When I say "Can we pick up more than one at a time?" I mean, will they be treated like items or will we store them and not be holding them constantly.

For the first one, none of us can't really give a reasonable answer, so we have to agree with you on that one. Maybe these "Shadow Bugs" are what create the Primids when gathered. (Shown in the first emissary movie)

Second, I believe the trophy stands will pop out just like any ordinary items, but more than once.

Third, I'm 100% positive you can replay the stages once you've completed the stage to gain access to the next. After that you can go back to the stage AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WISH.

I hope there is a boss mode where you can play any boss with any character.

It would be a lot cooler if you could beat Rayquaza with Pikachu and Jigglypuff.

Well my point in general is jsut that it would be nice to not only have set scenarios with bosses. I would like it if you could play any boss with whoever you wanted in a separate mode or something.

This might have been already asked, but how would you get other types of trophies like these:

There's got to be another way to unlock trophies. I think the lottery is coming back, but I also think these trophies might just appear randomly in the SSE, and you don't have to catch them. Or maybe you can throw the trophy stands at an item like the pokeball to catch it...

Not a clue. I'm guessing it's those purple spheres making up the primids.

"You must turn the enemies directly into trophies to get them! The item that is needed to do this is a trophy stand." How do we get trophy stands? Will we pick them up as items along with the Bumper and the Poke Ball? Can we pick up more than one at a time?
We've already seen that the trophy stands act as normal items. The only way to carry more than one is to have a partner carry one and you carry one.

"I’ll make it so you’ll somehow be allowed to fight the bosses even after you’ve already cleared the game." How will we fight these bosses again? Will we have to play through the Subspace Emissary again, or will they be collected along with our trophies and stickers?
Boss rush. Sakurai apparently likes those things.

You realize that's impossible, right? No matter what, an update will raise questions.

The answer to the last question is obviously one of the following:

1) Once you beat Adventure Mode, (or even as you're playing it), you can return to the map and travel to any level you want, at any time (not limited to boss battles). Think the overworld map in Super Mario World. Exact same deal.

2) There will be something akin to a "Boss Rush" mode like everyone else is suggesting. I'd envision a menu where you can choose any boss fight that you've encountered and replay it as often as you like.

I personally hope for option 1 to be the case.

I personally am wondering if the enemies in the field become assist trophies after captured. Complete conjecture, but I think it would be interesting if what you've captured is what is available to you. We've seen hammer bros already as both, for example. I don't know how likely it is, but I would find it interesting if true.
