Hi everyone - I'm a longtime TO from NJ (smash games since 2013), frame jockey, and ex-mod.
I'm coming today to ask for your opinions on this Twitter thread, especially from the TOs in here.
Where are we headed for a community?
At this point, I feel I have to keep my event off the circuit, just to make sure some aspect of the community will be preserved off-platform.
Again - i am not calling for anyone to boycott SWT or smashgg (and please do not bring gimr / vgbc into this)
I'm simply asking for us to slow down and reflect: what's next?

What are some of the gripes surrounding Smashgg?

It's of note that a lot of this can also stem from the fact that Nintendo's tournament support is minimal compared to companies like Capcom or Namco who could help in this situation.

This whole thing is worrisome to say the least and unless Smashgg can work with Tournament organizers to be more open and flexible then this whole thing is going to cause a lotta lotta headaches.

Probably worth presenting this to some larger TO's like Jebailey or pro players like hungrybox hungrybox to get this more recognition.
