The Sheik and Ganon info has been known for a long time.

Aunoma let it slip in a Phantom Hourglass interview a month or two ago. The interviewer asked a bunch of questions about Zelda, then asked if Aunoma was involved with Brawl at all.

Aunoma stated that he sent those two character models to Sakurai.

Whether this was a calculated response to build hype or simply a slip up is unknown. I'm leaning towards it being a big accident. Maybe he assumed they're return was public info since they were already in Melee.

Of course its possible that they aren't playable or simply trophies... but given their popularity they probably are playable.

Just because they have character art from a game doesn't mean they're in, and even IF they are, they could just be stickers, trophies or assist trophies.
