Your combos against that marth were really nice, and you were almost about to take the win, a shame that 112's spacing was amazing in that last stock, he left you no room to recover, let alone start up another projectile combo.
It was a great video to watch and I can't wait to see more from your young link :D

Not a bad Young Link, but on some parts of the Marth match i saw that you got beat up when the Marth closed in and you took out a bomb. And it appears that is the reason you lost that match. This is why spamming is not good in most occasions. Work on your physical attack skills and do good % racking grab combos, its EXTREMELY easy for Young Link to grab combo Marth....seriously. Other then that you seem to do pretty good with projectiles, Your better then me with them not to front or anything, now all you have to do is mix it with powerful offensive strategies and your pretty much perfect.

Hmm maybe that's why I'm always getting beat by my friends Marth I spam too much against them. Well Jash your advice helped two people today (althought it was directed to Laijin, whose ylink is pretty good btw).

You did really well against that Doc although it looked like he didn't do much of anything. Your ylink is pretty good like I said before.

Ok i saw all the matches and im going to comment on the very new videos.

Doc #1: You did very well, you spammed him to death

Doc #2: You did good here, but he caught on to your spam and reacted pretty well, When Doc rushes to you then you should use your Long Ranged attacks. For example, "Fair, Ftilt, Nair*only for a break up*, Dsmash, and Upair especially. Also to Doc you can do a easy grab combo to him when he has 30%, Dthrow->Bair-> Dthrow->Bair->Dash attack. This works if they DI back or forth, but if they don't DI then just do Dthrow->Up tilt->and spam up airs.

Ice Climbers: It seems you have a bit of problem with Ice climbers, they are not suppose to be that difficult for Young Link. Fair owns them, you can repeat them for awhile and they will get him. Spaming them is not a good idea, since theres 2 you have a chance of hitting 1 and the other would just do a move that will hit you when your open. When they have 90% just Dair, they will most likely die unless that person has good DI. Basically just use physicals until one of them is dead, then do what you can.

Samus: You seem to have a problem with her too. Fighting her is weird, you have to be precise with everything. You have to fight her like a Marth fights Young Link. Run in past her stuff and fight her, if you try to spam her from far away then she would most likely win since her missiles and Power shot advance forward without her moving, unlike Young Link. Nairs break Missiles, don't be afraid to kick one because if you want to advance forward thats very good. When shes low on %, just spam a lot of Bair shuffles, they would most likely all hit, if not then just spam Upairs.

Overall: Your spamming is excellent to say the least, you use them very well and im learning from them *as you will see in my more recent videos*. Your Bomb drop to Dair is sexy, you do them perfectly. Hope to see more from you man.

This is we're out playstyles come to a complete disagreement. Personally, from my experience of playing Ice Climbers who can complete **** Young Link from 0-Death(Not referring to Dogy's. Sorry. xP) every single time they grab him, your pretty much forced to learn how to effectively spam against them. And thats what im currently working on. Until one of them is dead, I try to limit my physical attacks(Well..not so much the ones that don't **** from 0-death, since I don't really limit my attacks all that much in the vid I posted).

That i understand, but what are you going to do if they charge up to you? You cant spam up close so you have to learn physical priority against them just in case. Also to avoid the grabs you have to be evasive with Wavedash and yes spamming from afar. Im just saying to be safe from close because Young Links projectiles take time.

Against Ice Climbers I usually use UpB to seperate them, use physical attacks and when I need to rack up damage I use the projectiles. Also Dsmash works well against them. And I think against Ice Climbers that's the only time I use upB other than survival in a match unless I'm fooling around. Other than that like jash said you did really well against that Doc but you need o work on IC.

ICs are a tough match for YL.

Also, grabbing Marth is dangerous. The risks are greater than the rewards.

Nice vids. Are you going to be at Pound?

I KNOW there is a group of GA smashers going to Pound. Its just a matter of getting a ride with them >__>
And this particular group does'nt quite like giving people rides to tournaments(Is looking at Columbus,GA)

I'd disagree, IC's are more even for Young Link, not so much of a tough matchup.

And wobbles are banned at most tournaments anyway, and that helps a lot.

Rewards are superb if you grab Marth, they're pretty much his only physical combos he has on him. They lead to Uair combos, which do awesome on Marth.

But grab spam is bad to do.

Only grab when the oppurtunity presents itself (i.e. sidestep the F-smash, then grab)

No Wobbling = Young Link victory
Ice climbers die at like 90% from Young Links Dair, and edge guarding them is a piece of cake. And Young Link has Fire Arrows.....so...he counters
In my opinion, Most Marths Fsmash when they get nervous *especially from a Young Link that is kicking their butt* so they tend to Fsmash a lot. I suggest spamming in the back and wait for them to charge in with it, once blocked...hes completely open. Thats a safe way to block don't ya think? Once you grab him, theres your reward, just own him hardcore and repeat this tech, soon you will find out.....Marth is not really that much of a problem. But hey...what do i know im just a kid ;)

If any of you don't mind im going to state my opinion on the match up between Marth and Young Link. I find Marth easy. And not just regular easy.....pretty dam easy. I dunno why he seems easy for me but.....he is....and the thing about it is its not about what kind of Marth i fight, its about Marth in general and the disadvantages Young Link has with him. Unfortunately i find that the only disadvantages that Young Link has with Marth is his Range....and nothing more. Other then that to completely state an opinion i would have to say that Young Link eats Marths alive. Well.....at least mines do.

That's great for you because you play a Marth all the time which you get used to his range, most ylink players try to be careful with his range but they misjudge it and they tend to get Fsmashed in the face a lot. Plus your ylink is one of the best out there.

Updated da thread.

btw. Falco is a complete counter for Young Link. Any arguments going against this is complete bull**** and obviously the person saying this has never played a good Falco with their Young Link before.

Your edge guarding Falco very VERY wrong. Your mission is to kick him off not bring him up. Either way good matches. Im sad how you lost to a Peach 3 times in a row. But hey thats ok, i still love you dude. Lol keep it up.

lol. Yea. Falco's recovery is horrid. So the best way to win a match against Falco is to kill him as fast as you can. xD
