Tournaments for the next two months have been announced. They will take place Dec 17-19th and Jan 21-23rd. Other games will be accompanying SSBM, but since this is a Smash forum I won't go into details here. Anyway rules for Smash are as follows:
PRIZES for all SSBM Tournaments
1st Place - 60% of cash pot + $30 in tokens
2nd Place - 25% of cash pot + $20 in tokens
3rd Place - 15% of cash pot + $10 in tokens
Stages:
Fountain of Dreams

Singles: Entry Fee $7 ($2 goes to FFC)
-Matches will be best 2/3 with a 6Min time limit and each player will have 3 stock of lives.
-Double Elimination
-Items will be completely OFF
-During your match, if you are the winner with games still left to play in the set, you must select the same character that you won with. (i.e. Player 1 as Falco wins the first game, he must remain as Falco for the second. If Player 1 loses, then for the third match he can choose a new character, but Player 2 must remain as the player he selected during match 2).
-FINALS: Play will take place on one of 3 stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, and Pokemon Stadium in Best 3/5 rounds with no time limit.
Teams: Entry Fee $14 per Team ($4 goes to FFC)
-Matches will be best 2/3 with a 6Min time limit and each player will have 3 stock of lives.
-Double Elimination
-Items will be completely OFF.
-Friendly Fire will be ON.
-Winnings are split for the winning teams.
-Same rule as Singles pertaining to winners in that teams must keep their characters the same.
4 Player Free for All: Entry Fee $7 ($2 goes to FFC)
-Double Elimination
-One match is played with a 10Min time limit and each player will have 4 stock of lives.
-Items will be completely OFF.
-Essentially, the top 2 players in a match will advance, while the bottom 2 will either go to the loser's bracket or be eliminated. This will continue until the end of the tournament when it will naturally turn into a Head-to-Head match for the Finals and for the winner of the loser's bracket.
-Finals will follow the same format as the Singles finals.
