I don't think it's necessary to keep putting video links here. It's much easier to navigate manually and find videos more recent.

I don't have a lot of decent For Glory replays to show because of a combination of me being a little busy, meeting people that are inexperienced or laggy online, and people that seem to be at good leaving after 1 or 2 games. I did meet two people that I had multiple matches with, so I'll see if I can upload those up.

I put up a video of the first few matches that I had with a Peach in For Glory about 3 weeks ago, so it may not be accurate to how a Peach main would play right now. The opponent played Dedede two rounds that I lost before switching to Peach.

Please tell me if I need to move the camera closer to the screen. I moved it farther away than I originally did to try diminish the "ring" effect on the top screen, but it doesn't seem like that did anything.

As for comments:
- I would consider round 3 a loss since the opponent would have probably KO'd me if he didn't accidentally SD'd.
- I think my off-stage play needs work. Even though Up-B allows me to recover from fairly long range, I'm hesitant to chase my opponent off the stage mainly because the opponent can air dodge it or can hit me with fairly powerful aerials.
- I'm having trouble implementing Dsmash into my gameplay, as well as using pivot attacks.
- I keep overestimating the range of a normal grab, and I probably do too many grab attempts that leave me open.
- I may or may not be utilizing Pikmin Throw effectively, or at least where chip damage from non-whites become noticeable.
- Peach's aerials, especially her Fair, hit hard, and her float can easily allow her to edgeguard me while I'm recovering. I should have probably recovered high with UpB due to Peach's low vertical jump height, but what I'm afraid of is that since Omega stages are just one big platform, I'll be in freefall until I hit the ground, just in time for Peach to slam me with whatever she has.

I'll upload the latter half of the matches later.

Concerning this.
- I believe that Olimar isn't made well for off-stage play. Although he has a super recovery, it varies on which pikmin he carries. I'd only off-stage play if I only have one pikmin around, and that's rare.
-Dsmash indeed is important, specially if there are roll-happy people, though fsmash is better overall.
- From what I've noticed in the videos, Olimar's grab is key to pull up his great aerials. Not only the range is long, it is fast too, well worth the reward. Combine that with dash RC grab or boost grab, and that's a long grab.
-I heard the Peach's fair while floating DOES NOT STALE, so it's 15% all over, be wary. I'm not sure if our fair out prioritizes hers.

About greninja, I've seen in the video that he smashes a lot. So read more often since he makes himself open.

I'm thinking of doing dthrow > utilt/nair instead because it is sort of airdodged at early percent(sometimes if vectored down) to mid percent. I don't know any high percent combos, though that should be the time for Oli to strut some kill moves.

Also, does bthrow kill? or is it just uthrow?

I'm not sure if it occurred in this set of matches or the next, but I think I remember Olimar's fair clashing with Peach's fair. However, that's not entirely a good thing, because the hitbox for Peach's fair is still present, and Olimar would still get hit anyway. Same goes for Greninja's Dair vs. the Usmash.

So Olimar's pikmin moves are like piercing?

Interesting, because I killed someone with a bthrow(with rage) at 150%, though that was at the edge, purple I guess.
To be frank I never bothered with U throw as a kill option.

Concerning the Videos, I'll be sure to post some tomorrow! I don't have access to a camera since I just borrow it from my sister, and I'll try out the dark lighting as well.

I'll try to post my matches in time before the update, I got an amazing Olimar ditto in FG(how rare!). I can't play any FG at the moment because I'm using a mobile router at the moment and it... is mediocre at best.

So I don't usually post any of my replays due to the lack of a capture card, but I'm gonna do it this one time. This is a match with Dabuz (For those who don't know he's a top Rosalina/Sheik main from NY) where I win. I feel that the Sheik match up is heavily in Sheik's favor, and for Olimar to win he has to exploit the openings the Sheik gives him and power shield a lot. I wasn't able to record the bottom screen, because I couldn't keep both screens in focus while looking good. I will tell you that I managed to live to 190% the first stock. I do think it's nice that Sheik's kill options can be hard to land, and Olimar can live a long time with good vectoring. If you guys have any questions about what I do don't hesitate to ask!

That's amazing! Nice playstyle too, and against a top player, woah. Anyway, I learned there to use downb>upb, where you using that to bait or something? And I noticed you throw pikmin offstage at times(out of the stage).

What time of the video are you referencing for the downb>upb part? Also when I throw Pikmin away when I'm offstage it's because it's the fastest way to cycle to the one I want, while at the same time trimming my line in case I need to recover.

Around 1:20 , and 2:49 though I understand the first down to up b you made may be for recovering your pikmin.
And poor white pikmin, you seem to not prioritize them, hmm.

At the 2:49 mark I whistle because I just threw the purple, and needed to get it back to me fast. As for whites I use them lol. Sheik can be tricky, but I pretty much just throw them when I get them to wrack up damage fast. I use them for other things, but they're usually on the back burner of Pikmin to have.

Hey, since you have the Wii U version, have you seen any instance where Pikmin randomly run off in the other direction? I saw a post on the /r/smashbros subreddit that most of the AI problems have been fixed. As far I can see in the Wii U videos, desyncing seems to only happen ledges and sometimes when Olimar is flying off from an attack.
Also, nice video. I really hope I can get a Wii U soon to fight in HD.

They still run off lol. Just seems to happen much less frequently.

Thanks, and yes as stated above it happens much less frequently than the 3ds version. It's actually hardly noticeable

Great video. Can you explain the read/thought process behind the up smash at 1:13? Was that up smash with Purple guaranteed to hit or at least clank with whatever Sheik put out at the edge? When should I be using up smash?

It was really just a read. I figured he would get up from the ledge that way, so I chose the best option to cover it.

Nice match. I know the Rosalina that gave me trouble was much more aggro than the way Debuz is playing. I got completely rushed down in a combination of dash attacks, dash grabs, and disjointed air juggles. When Dabuz took you into the air and then tracked you down (starting at 3:00) was what was happening to me the whole game.

That Purple pikmin was a great tool for you though, and I think Olimar should concentrate on getting one ASAP and keeping it when playing against Rosa. I liked how you used whistle to get the Purple by your side at 1:22 and then used it to cover your landing.

At 0:47, you also showed great patience avoiding the fair. I would've gotten hit with that for sure. Those galaxy hitboxes are tricky. Great dair punish at 2:29 too. That's a hard move for Olimar to deal with. A lot of stuff here to incorporate to my anti-Rosalina Olimar game. Thanks for sharing.

Nice match. That shows a much more aggressive Rosalina, so it's interesting to compare to Myran's match. I felt your pain so much when you lost pikmin while getting back to the stage. I hate when that happens! You had some great spacing with fsmash. You also had some nice air play against Rosa. I'm always hesitant to approach her in the air because I feel like I'll get outranged by fair or nair.

Hmmm my biggest concern is that you kept rolling a lot olimar has a fast dash and decent speed so you should be able to run where ever you need to go to avoid moves
Secondly
You didn't play to the pikmin's strengths when peach had 120% you could have used blue to up throw and killed
You have olimar down for the most part but try to take advantage of what all the pikmin do
Like whenever you have a white just throw it at the enemy or use it to grab and pummel
It will rack up a lot of damage
