Not many people have probably thought of him as a possible character, but a great character from back in the NES days is resurfacing on the Wii, and to go with his game Rygar: The Battle of Argus, it would be awesome to include him in Brawl as another 3rd part character. The Techmo character originaly appeared on the Atari Lynx, but soon found his home on the NES, and though he went to Sony for his last game, he is back on the Nintendo side on Janurary 18.

Rygar is a heroic barbarian who had to rescue his realm of Argool (Argos) from the evil king Ligar. The character's attack is very much like from Castlevania, but instead of a whip, you have a diskarmor which basically is a giant shield attached by a chain. The latest game in the series is about to make it's appearance on the Wii in Rygar: The Battle of Argus, where Rygar gets a new look and a bigger range of attacks. He is sorta like Nintendo/Techmo's answer to God of War.
Final Smash - Diskarmor barrage (Diskarmor is engulfed in flames and multiplies)

A - Standard punch.
A-A - Diskarmor punch/grab.
A-A-A-repeated - Uppercut.

Tilt-A-Up - Diskarmor is thrown up.
Tilt-A-forward - Diskarmor thrown forward.
Tilt-A-Down - Sweeping kick.

Smash-A-Up - Diskarmor thrown up and spins to hit multiple times
Smash-A-Forward - Short Diskarmor grapple and headbut
Smash-A-Down - Diskarmor sweep

Aerial-A-Neutral - Shoulder with Diskarmor trust.
Aerial-A-Up - Diskarmor thrust up
Aerial-A-Forward - Dives forward trusting the Diskarmor
Aerial-A-Down - Diskarmor thrown down
Aerial-A-Backward - Back-kick and Diskarmor thrust

B-Neutral - Fire Diskarmor throw.
B-Up - Long distance Diskarmor throw
B-Forward - Diskarmor throw and spin.
B-Down - Diskarmor is thrusted into the ground causing the area around to shake

Final Smash - Rygar gets two Diskarmors, lined with spikes, longer range, and on fire. He become faster, and can swing both at once in a figure 8 or can spin around the stage hurling both Diskarmor.

Why is no one posting here ><

I don't want my thread on the second page without any post, that's like a death sentence.

Go Rygar

he's cool and all but his B moveset seems kinda stale....this just my opinion by the way....

maybe his UpB can be that he throws the disc thing up at an angle and it works kinda like Zamus' UpB...it can also be used for tether recovery...

his SideB can be that thing that he does in that trailer where he slams the disc into the ground and it spins...if you meant that in your post then sry...but to me it came off as a generic toss...

EDIT: try looking up stuff from his past games like items and stuff to include in his moveset....

I agree in that Rygar should be in Brawl. Perhaps the most underated video game character ever!

I hope his new game doesn't suck. Rygar should be fun to control with a wiimote. The PS2 game looked pretty cool too. He really doesn't haave a chance at making it in Brawl though. Regardless, like ZenJestr said, his B moves seem stale, and he doesn't seem to have a recovery. I do like the final smash. That would be fun.

R.M.B. were else?
I havnt heard of Ryger, so I cant realy say wether I think he should be in brawl or not, but we could always use a few more violent games in the nintendo line, so if he our answer, then I am cool with him. but, if he is third party, then no. he is a little too small if that is the case. I think in the next SSB maybe he could get in if first party, but I doubt his entry in this one.
