We all know we've contemplated having sweet third party characters in Brawl...

But Richter Belmont reigns supreme!

Richter Belmont is a well known character from Castlevania games, him being a famous vampire hunter!

Give me possible move sets for Richter!

Well, I'll agree that Simon is far more likely than Richter. However, I hate when people throw around statements like "Konami will only get one rep." It's a silly fan-made rule that makes no sense.

No Castlevania character but Simon has a chance and Konami isn't getting two reps.
couldn't have sait it any better myself
couldn't have said it any n00bish... who are you guys? Sakurai? the "Konami isn't getting two reps" sounds really dumb. Didn't you think that Konami and Sega are pleased to put their characters and were in contact with Nintendo since Brawl was announced? Dont' you think they have... lets see... years to discuss any other character? :urg:

Away from the cliche comment on Konami doesn't having two reps, Simon has better chances than Richter, because he is in a lot of exclusive for Nintendo games. And you could change his color to represent others from the Belmont family since they all have moves in common.

where a lot of good ideas are (and all you can think of Castlevania in Brawl)

You really think one company is getting two reps? Specially when it's the first time that Smash has third parties? Please, get real, Konami won't get a second rep.

Before I start, I want to say I don't particularly assume anyone from Castlevania will be in Brawl. I'm just a fan. And this is just for fun. Duh. ;)

As a huge fan of Castlevania (well, mainly Ayami Kojima; the artist) I'd LOVE to see Richter in SSBB. Alucard too, of course--oh, and my loli-craving side wants adolescent Maria!

*cough*

Anyway, Richter's moveset seems predictable, but at the same time there are a lot of options; knives, holy crosses, axes, holy water, and much more. Here's what I came up with off the top of my head:

3 Knives (standard B) - Fast and no knockback like fox's gun in Melee. 2% each knife, but they spread apart so unless you're up close it's likely you'll only get hit by 2 or 1. There would be a half-second delay to throw again, BUT not to do any other attacks; making it possible to fit this attack in combos.

Super Jump? (up + B) - Richter boosts in the air with his fist straight up; very similar to Marth's up + B, but a little higher and a bit more horizontal. You can see this in the video below.

Scissor Dash? (forward + B) - Richter dashes forward hitting/cutting things on his way. Check the video below to get an idea of what I'm talking about--it's the first thing he does to hurt Gaibon.

Holy Water (down + B) - Richter throws a glass bottle of holy water on the ground and it creates a small trail of blue flames. Short range, and the flames go away fast, but good damage. If the bottle hits the enemy, it breaks and the enemy bursts into blue flames for a moment.

Holy Cross special (final smash) - If you know Richter you know what I'm talking about. He levitates in the air and crosses swarm around him. Anyone who's hit by a cross takes damage and knockback; anyone who isn't near still takes small damage at the end (the bright light!) but no knockback. You can view this on the video below.

Grab - Richter uses his whip and ties it around his enemy and immediately pulls him close. From there Richter can knee-butt the enemy. If you press up, Richter will toss the enemy into the air with his whip and throw an axe at him. (I knew I could insert the axe somewhere!)

Standard Attacks - These would be punches, kicks, and the like. You can get an idea from the below video (attacking Slogra). If you attack while running, you dash kick across the floor. Press it again to dash off the ground upwards into the air; long horizontal distance, and lack of control, so be careful.

Smash Attacks - These would include the Vampire Killer (his whip).

Here's the video (I didn't make it, it just shows off some of Richter's moves):
