Smash Fight Club!

The longest running weekly in Houston, every Sunday at Ooples Anime!

Matches are streamed live to see on the Smash United twitch channel!
With the videos uploaded to the Smash United youtube channel!

Schedule
1:30 p.m. - The Smash United Team begins setting up
2:00 p.m. - Registration begins
2:30 p.m. - Doubles
4:30 p.m. - Singles

EVENT FEES:
$5 Venue fee
$5 per player 2v2
$5 1v1

Venue fee is waived for bringing a TV+Wii U+Sm4sh+GC Adapter with everything (except ALL DLC, but DLC preferred) needed unlocked. Wii U MUST be updated to current format. Only first 16 setups get the waive.

PLEASE BRING SETUPS for the event to run properly and quickly, as well as to snag the venue waive. Laggy monitors sadly, will not get the venue waive. So keep that in mind. (Asus/benq monitors etc are always a safe bet). Also we are capping at 16 venue waives, we don't want to overwhelm the venue. If you count on the venue waive, please come early.

in 2v2, each player pay $5 for entry... can two people who came 4 singles matches also team up, or do teams have to be "pre-set?''
I guess what I'm asking is: how are doubles matches organized?

You just tell me who your partner is and both of you pay $5.

Its all done day of. Some people even pair up with new teammates randomly at different events.

Doubles is pretty much done by the time singles starts

Do you think it would be okay if I could record some footage here for a news story/documentary I'm doing for school? I would need to interview the tournament host as well as just get some shots of people playing smash.
