E.G.G.S. Is here for a Smash 4 Wii U tournament at Time Warp! This is the sixth installment of our biweekly tournament series and our first to feature doubles! The venue fee is 6$, plus 6$ to enter the bracket. If you want to bring a full setup please let us know ahead of time, and we will refund half your venue fee after the tournament. A full setup includes a Wii u, monitor, Gamecube adapter and all legal Dlc stages /characters. The pause feature must also be disabled. If there are under 25 entrants, first place gets 70% of the winnings and 2nd gets 30%. If there are more than 25 entrants, first place gets 60%, second gets 30%, and third gets 10%. Feel free to stick around for some friendlies and crews after the Tournament!

Please RSVP on our Facebook event page! https://www.facebook.com/events/822934444508421/

Schedule:

4:00 PM - Sign ups start

5:00 PM - Doubles starts

6:00 PM - Singles starts

Double Elimination

2 Stocks, 6 Minutes (3 Stock, 8 Minutes for doubles)

If a match goes to time, the player with the most stocks wins the game. If both players have the same amount of stocks, the player with the least damage wins.

Items/equipment off/customs off
Sets are best 2 of 3
Winners, losers and Grand finals are best 3 of 5

DSR is on (you cannot counter pick a stage you have already won on during that set)

Starter Stages: Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville, Town And City, Lylat Cruise

Counter Picks: DreamLand 64, Duck Hunt, Omegas (counts as FD)

Order of events: Pick characters, then stage striking

The first stage is chosen by striking, rock paper scissors decides the first player to strike a stage. The first player strikes 1 stage out of the 5 starter stages. The second player then strikes 2 more stages, followed by the first player picking a stage from the 2 remaining stages.

Following stages are decided by the winner banning one stage out of all the stages (Starter and counterpick) and the loser chosing from the remaining stages.

If the winner of a game decides to change characters for the following game, they must make their new selection before their opponent makes their character decision.

The use of the Wii U gamepad will not be permitted at this event.

Is there any chance that this tournament will be a constant weekly tournament? The scheduling with Time Warp seems to be strange, but I was just wondering :p

We try to stick to the biweekly schedule but it really depends what's happening at the store. We fill whatever time slots they happen to have available. We may have more tournaments at other venues soon though, so stay tuned.
