It's cool, I've survived without a phone so far, a little longer wont kill me - and sif I can even complain about the circumstances in which I recieve free stuff anyway. Besides, I'll have my shiny new laptop to play with in the meantime. :D

I'll be aiming to get to the tour both days as close to the rego start time as possible.

bjay, ted and me will def be there. apparently znemesis might make an appearance too. dunno who else, ricky/leish maybe?

btw they will let you use your own controllers on the brawl setup, but if you do then bring a secondary controller or something since they'll expect you to leave it there/pass it around for the day. also its not laggy, even with wavebirds. There's also talk of someone setting up a cube tomorrow.

gords dont be a scrub and at least get there in time to register for the comp. surely you can manage an 11am arrival, you can even get a direct train there from campbelltown afaik. Anyway I stayed there till like 5ish today, will probably do the same tomorrow. And yes hurstville.

Also bjay won singles today. :)

tour was good, we all failed at doubles though (some moreso than others... lol). met a few people who seemed keen to pick up smash competitively so hopefully they'll make an appearance at the next Boost or whatever. the guy in charge of the brawl setup was pretty ***gy as far as stages go, totally had to convince him with LOGIC to let people to play on other stages ("herp derp final destination only its the best stage lol0lol").

there was also this guy working there who looked EXACTLY like Alzi. like holy ****, it's not even funny. if you could muster the imagination to picture a socialite/outgoing soul stuck in Alzi's body, you pretty much have this guy. "cool alzi".

ted was totally hitting on this chinese lady when we were getting on the train home.

that's all.

oh yeah, yes meet tuesday afaik.

oh god I haven't been around here in so long...

The site still looks the same as it did when I first signed up lol.

The threads and topics have changed a bit though.

I would love to start my join up with the Smash Scene tomorrow.....
but I haver a late Birthday dinner to attend and i've got to do some shopping.

Oh by the way in case you forgot who i am or are like who is this weirdo and what is he talking about.
Just so you know i'm guy who was always trying to play Smash... the guy who walked around in circles lol.
I always had to give it up for the kids though.

I can't believe they let us use out own controllers.... that guy was so annoyed with the switch all the time. It was all Jamie's fault he told me I could bring them. So I was like "why not".

There was no rule that you had to leave them there though i only did it because I felt it was fair and I didn't want to have to keep on pulling it out.

But I just want to say it was good to meet some of you. Great brawlers all of you. I'm not too sure if i'm ready for a tournament... right now I just want to find some more smashers and just have fun brawling get my main 3 trained up(Marth, Ike, Sonic)...And even make some new friends.

catch ya round.

The tournaments aren't very formal. It's mainly to have fun with friendlies, the tournament is just like a side meal lolz

JPW, honestly the best training you will ever recieve at tournaments. Tournaments are a very relaxed, friendly environment where you have the opportunity to verse many different players of different caliburs. Whether it's friendly games or tournament sets, you'll take home valuable experience and have a great time regardless of how you place.

I really hope to see you at Boost this weekend or one of Ted's/EA's meets later on in the week.

Btw, where do you live? Hopefully close to one of us

P.S. Gords, Young Link is a Jiggs counter, so there's your solution to the matchup lolol.

P.P.S. Pat has more posts than me... :( I really have to start lurking less...

He's like north shore lol.

Still, there's hope. :)

lol @ tournaments being informal. depends on how you approach them ultimately.

Hey guys

If I could make it to Castle Hill by public transport for a job interview

If I could make it to Hurtsville for a connection tour after getting on and off trains and buses because of trackwork that never seems to end.

If I could make it to lidcombe for Josh's(Merc) Meetups

And if I could make it to Lilyfield for a 4 hour TVC shoot.

Then I'm pretty sure I could make it to wherever it is I need to be for a tournament.

Thanks for the advice though guys.

I have to agree Tournaments will help me out a lot.

But yeah I love Smash and that connection tour made me proud. Cause I saw that I wasn't one of the only ones that loved it.

Also I never recalled saying I would bring a Gamecube. I'm pretty sure I said Gamecube Controller.
And sadly I haven't played Melee since I got Brawl.
I'm thinking about laminating "Melee". To be honest it was my favourite game on the GCN and i'd play it for hours on end by myself lol.

Hey JPW :)

I wasn't at the connection tour, but I'm another friendly neighbourhood Sydney smasher. I live in Arncliffe, which is about 10-15 minutes from central station by train.

Shaya lives about 10 minutes from me too.

We should smash sometime :)

Ah, sorry about that dude, I must have misheard.

dw about not playing Melee, there's plenty of us who love playing Melee if you want to get back into it. :)

OK so 2mor is Carne Asada day.

To my knowledge it will be myself, Toby, EA and Foxy.

The only thing is, I never really thought about how we're going to get the food now that ZXV won't be attending. If Foxy isn't coming, we're screwed.

If Foxy can't bring his car, we're screwed.

:O

EDIT: Also, be here BEFORE 11.

Before 11 because we have to go get the stuff we need, marinate the meat for 4 hours, make the guac and all that **** before we're even ready to cook it.

And I was thinking of doing a second batch on Saturday if this one turns out well. :)
