Tournament will take place in the ballroom at the Hill Student Center on the campus of UAB. The ballroom is on the third floor. Parking at a meter is free on Saturdays and Sundays and student parking should be available to attendants.

Entrance Fee + Pot Bonus Payout:
We will be doing top 8 payout for all singles events:
1st Place – 55%
2nd Place – 20%
3rd Place – 10%
4th Place – 5%
5th Place (tie) – 3%
7th Place (tie) – 2%

Top 4 for Melee/Wii U doubles:
1st Place - 58%
2nd Place - 25%
3rd Place - 12%
4th Place - 5%

Top 3 for PM doubles:
1st Place - 60%
2nd Place 30%
3rd Place - 10%

Friday is Venue Fee free day

Entrance Fees:
$10 per individual for singles tournament
$20 per team for doubles tournament
$5 per individual in the Arcadian bracket

I apologize in advance for the length of this post, but there are several announcements that the Smash Club at UAB needs to make that directly concern our upcoming event Golden Daze.

1. The Smash Club at UAB and MVG have made the difficult decision to part ways for this year’s Golden Daze, but we both have high hopes of working together in the future.

2. The Smash Club at UAB is excited to announce that Golden Daze will now be streamed by Typo House throughout the 3-day long tournament.

3. Because of the short notice changes that are being made, the prices for Golden Daze are being lowered. Everyone who has preregistered so far can receive a $10 refund at the venue. The new venue prices for late online registration through smash.gg for Golden Daze are: Friday will remain free; Saturday pass is $20; a two-day pass for Saturday and Sunday is $30. The new prices for at the door are: Friday is free; Saturday pass is $25; Sunday is $10.

4. For the past 2 years, The Smash Club at UAB has been working incredibly hard at accommodating, growing, and giving back to our Smash community. We have created this tournament for the sole purpose of uniting the community we all love, which comes with new experiences, meeting new people, and growing our skills. We will continue to put forth our hardest efforts into giving back to the community, showing our unwavering support, and placing Alabama on the map. We now ask for your support and understanding in the changes that are being made to Golden Daze, and thank you for your flexibility and being a part of this growing community.
