I am making this post in an attempt to grow the Smash Scene in Northern Ireland, I think now would be a good time to try and grow the scene, especially with the upcoming release of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, as we currently have a small & growing scene and trying to get more people involved with it.
The objective of this is to try and expand the Smash scene across Northern Ireland, we have set up a Facebook group for those who want to organise events such as smashfests or tournaments or even to check if anybody is currently up for some Netplay. As a community we want everyone to play and enjoy all the new and old Smash Bros. games. (This even includes Brawl.)
What we intend to do is organise meet ups every 2-3 weeks and spend a day playing Smash Bros. Melee, Project M and Smash 4. And between these meet ups maybe have a few smashfests or get some practice over some Netplay and maybe join a stream with a few people .
Please if you are a Smash Player in Ireland make the effort to join the group and help our scene grow. We want to generate excitement and hype for Smash players new and old across Northern Ireland and create a scene that will last for years to come.
