Noob Question

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I haven't been on here since the brawl days. Anyway where do I go to meet players for online matches? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Here's a few easy steps:

1. Purchase a Nintendo Online subscription for your Nintendo account (if you haven't already) and link it to your Switch profile.
2. Go to the Online section in the bottom right corner of the menu.
3. Pick any gamemode.
4. If you pick Quick Play, I recommend you set preferred rules to gain the most optimal experience.
5. If you pick Arena Battles, you can also set the rules.
6. Choose your fighter!
7. Play!

Thanks for that but I meant how can I find people on smashboards. I remember long ago back in 2010 there was a page on here that allowed you to chat with people and exchange codes to battle each other. I prefer that then battling random people online.

Pretty sure we don't do that anymore for privacy reasons, but I could be wrong. You may want to DM a mod for help, since I haven't done that either.
