All seven languages of Smash Bros. Dojo will take a year-end holiday break from posting following 28th December. We plan to resume posts on 7th January.

Have a happy new year!
A notice at the top of the dojo, dunno if this is common knowledge, if it's just up or if no one has noticed but i've seen no threads in my brief scroll through this rubbish!

Oh my lol

Didn't see that coming O_o What a great way to end 8 weeks of ****ty updates XD
It really is. New beginnings please? But hey, I am not one to complain, I have been fairly content with most of the updates, and happy with the ones recently.

Characters in January, perhaps?

Oh boy, Sakurai better have like 3 updates a day, with at least two character confirmations/deconfirmations a week...

tell that to this guy.

I am starting to wonder if those are actually the pokemon in Brawl...

That model has nearly no anti-aliasing at all... it looks more like it was just pasted in.

Anyway that is going off topic. On topic, I will be out of town for most of the week as well, so I guess it's not all bad for me either.

It's not Sakurai who's putting in the updates. It's some American dude working for Nintendo. He even says in a Demo, "Hope you guys have been enjoying the Dojo, takes a lot of time out my life translating and updating it." That's from memory It went something like that. I could be wrong, but that's how I see it...

If you think that was a bad update, imagine getting ALL of those Pokemon separately...
quoting Chaosblade77.

also, they don't add much detail into pokemon appearing out of pokeballs since they are only on screen for around 5-10 seconds. It was probably the same model from melee.

Nope. Sakurai does the updates himself. All he does is translate what Sakurai says into english for the english website. He doesn't actually decide what gets updated.

And even then, in Melee, how many pokemon were completely visible during their attacks? That one, for example (I forgot it's name) was completely covered by fire within a second after it appeared. I doubt they will put 30+ hours into modeling something that is visible for that short amount of time.

The updates have been pretty good though, recently. I loved the coin launcher, although no one seems to share that sentiment (I also have not read that update topic though XD).

Please stop posting topics about this already.

And Grayfox, you were simply too lazy to look at the two identical topics on the first page.
