In todays update on the Dojo we found out about co-op event mode, and the fourth picture down it says this
"Characters: Pokémon Trainer, Pikachu

This features Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard, and Pikachu.
It’s a tag battle with pretty much equal teams!"

so my question is are there more pokemon in Brawl?

Well, I'm looking at your sig and looks like you're kind of contradicting yourself. You support Jigglypuff and Lucario but don't want any more Pokemon?

But I think there are too many Pokemon representatives, especially through the Pokeball.

Right behind you with a knife.
Well technically he mentioned PT.

As of now, we don't know if there will be another Pokemon character, though its highly speculated that we will have one or two more. Even so, the Pokeball is still a item which has many cameo apperances by other Pokes.

Yeah, there will definitely be more pokemon. Just not in that match, because odds are they're all secret characters (No, I'm not a Conspiracy Theracy subscriber). Jiggs is in for sure, probably unlocked by beaing classic for the first time. Mewtwo is a probably, unless he's replaced by Lucario, who will probably be in either way.
Pichu? Dead.

That really doesn't mean anything..
It's just an event with those specific character.
If there was an event with Zelda and Link, would that give any "hints" that there wouldn't be any other characters from the Zelda series added?
No. Just no.

Why would it automatically be Mewtwo replaced by Lucario and not Jigglypuff? There is no way they are getting rid of Mewtwo. He was one of the most requested characters for Melee and was going to be in the 64 game, and he's more well-known than Jigglypuff.

Yeah, we really can't say. This is the first round of event matches and doesn't necessarily consider unlockable characters, which there could very well be a Pokemon that's an unlockable character.

Not enough to base this on.
