No more "good" updates?

I was just thinking, since brawl was supposed to be released on Dec 3rd, all the updates past then aren't supposed to be there, assuming Sakurai would stop putting stuff up after it was released, which make sense (to me at least). So all the updates from now until release are just gonna be, for lack of a better word, "filler" updates....? I dunno, I'm just speculating here, but I really don't think we'll be getting any more "good" updates (new chars, game modes, etc...). He showed us the options screen for goodness' sake. I think he's running out of things to put up.

Keep in mind that everyone has their own definition of a "good" update.

Plus the fact that "E for All" let ppl play the game just lets us all know more stuff that would've been updates. I totally agree with you.

Yeah, i guess "good" is relative, but i'm afraid that checking the site for updates won't be the highlight of my night anymore =( . And thank you for agreeing with me PNaleek.

I thought this week was pretty good. A pokemon, a new game mode, some rockin' music, a stage, and two ATs. What more could you ask for? Is every update bad unless it's a new character?

I think this week was the week to kick off "good updates" again. No more of that "more ridiculous filler 'widescreen' updates" stuff.

I agree that this last week was quite good. Ice Climber's music was great, Mario Circuit was finally "revealed" and two characters were deconfirmed.

The only "bad" update was the options, but I thought it was nice just to see a new section of the menu, namely the main menu. We have an idea what is in store for us.

Maybe i should've said no more "awesome" updates. haha. i don't know, some updates i just go, "big deal." And I was originally trying to get across the point that since it's past dec. 3rd, we shouldn't be expecting anything as awesome as a new char, because all these updates are 'fillers".

Since Sakurai wants to reveal as much as he can himself, I figure things like stages and more characters will be plentiful near the Japanese release. I'd say by Jan 20, at the absolute latest, would we know the final roster, even if it's not revealed on the Dojo yet.

I'm not so sure he's going to go so far as to release the entire roster. He said himself on the Dojo that playing online and various online sites will be where the roster gets revealed. But anyway...yeah, we need some better updates besides pokemon and assist trophies. Honestly, I think it will be nice to see them for myself as I play rather than them getting released on the Dojo. Some character updates besides Sonic's final smash would be nice, like Zelda's moveset...specifically Down B...

The delay was known long before Dec 3rd, and he had plenty of updates then to spread out across the time until the eventual release.

If you're going to complain about the updates, we have a stickied thread for that in the DOJO Updates forum. Otherwise, I suggest just taking the updates as they come.
