Who's this guy?
This is Yukimura Sanada, a character from the Samurai Warriors series. He's based on the Japanese historical figure, Sanada Yukimura.

What's the Samurai Warriors series?
Samurai Warriors is an action hack and slash series by Koei Tecmo and Omega Force, and a spin-off of the Dynasty Warriors series. There’s a crossover series between both series called Warriors Orochi.

What is it about?
The series is set in the Sengoku period of feudal Japan. You can take on the roles of many different Japanese historical figures, like Yukimura himself, who may or may not have participated in these battles. Some of the characters' stories in this series are kinda like alternate history. Some of the outcomes of the battles in their stories are too.

Why Yukimura?
Yukimura is the poster boy and, like Nobunaga Oda, he's one of the most well-known characters in the Samurai Warriors series. He's portrayed as a major protagonist, and I think he's playable in every game in the series.

What would his moveset be?
His moveset would be based on the Warriors games. His Final Smash would be True Musou.

What are his chances?
Probably pretty low, compared to Ryu Hayabusa.

What would his stage be?
Sanada Maru

My knowledge on Samurai Warriors is rather small, but I too will be a part of the Sanada Clan.


Even though Sakurai missed the opportunity to add Garou Terry as an alt, if Yukimura was in, I hope they don't also miss on Goatee Yukimura from Spirit of Sanada.

Honestly the new and completely different direction they're taking the series right now looks great so far. The new artstyle actually looks pretty cool, and main focus being on the Oda clan really has me wondering if this will be more in line with Spirit of Sanada.

As the focus of SW5 is primarily on the Oda clan, I wonder what will make of Yukimura as he's the poster boy of the series.
