Well I'm back now I've played enough of BotW to not have the internet randomly spoil things. Did Smashboards add a Switch Friend code thing while I was gone or is that still in the works.

I saw Gamexplain's video on the 4 Smash amiibo and remembered hearing it here first. Any ideas on who the mystery amiibo is?

Could easily be the Ice Climbers in the events of them wanting to bring back a Veteran or the Inklings if they are wanting to bring in a Newcomer.

To those who are saying its an alternative variant of either Cloud, Corrin, or Bayonetta in the comments section (especially with those who really want it to be Female Corrin), they are very wrong; why would they even bother doing something as silly as this? ROB has been the sole exception of a character who has received an alternative variant. Even then, its for an understandable reason; the colors are different outside of Japan.

On a side-note, I wouldn't be surprised if we received more characters later on; perhaps this is simply a start to the return of the hype train?

Female Corrin would be a waste of time and resources in my eyes, especially when there's plenty of merchandise for her that should be pleasing people who want a figure or statue of her. I would 100% prefer it be a veteran or newcomer. This includes AC Cloud and Bayonetta's appearance in her first game, by the way; it would be a bad idea to make amiibo of them when they are no more then the same character with a different appearance that would have the same function as the regular Cloud and Bayonetta, also including Corrin.

I looked up the CPSIA entry for ROB; the image is of his colors in Japan. I could not find an entry for the American colors for ROB, but I imagine they have the same entry.

So it most likley isn't an alt. The only exception I could think of is that the alt amiibo has a little extra bit of code to default the costume to said alt but if they didn't do that for ROB then why would they do it now?

I'm 99.9% sure that when people say they want Ridley in smash, they're saying as a character, because technically he's been in every smash bros game. I've never heard anyone ever misinterpret what they mean.

Well, truthfully, I hope we get more than just one character. 2 would be good, 3 is ideal.

I just don't see myself buying the game again for one character, especially if it's Ice Climbers or another veteran (except maybe Young Link but eh). I'm happy with my Wii U copy especially since it's moddable.

I can answer this.

I think prefer no facial hair on my ideal kind of man, but facial hair can look pretty good on masculine guys as long as the facial hair is well groomed. You'd also want (well groomed) facial hair if you're fat, because fat guys tend to look WAY worse without it. There's a reason why Santa has quite the
beard... This doesn't just go for fat guys though, a lot of guys look way better with facial hair, like Mario.



There's no way I could have facial hair though. Without it I look like a long haired pretty boy, but with it I look like a hippie/stoner.

Best case scenario, there's more than 1 new character and they're only starting off by releasing the first oe's amiibo along with the missing three. I'm dreaming on that one though.

Worst case scenario, there was a mixup and a character was listed twice for no real reason.

I don't tend to have much of an opinion on 'staches, but I think it would depend on the guy whether I felt they looked better with one or clean shaven.

Assuming your avatar is you. . .*mentally superimposes mustache* . . .Purely on a personal level I think I prefer you clean shaven. But everyone's gonna have different tastes for what looks good or not, so you should probably get the opinion of someone other than me.

Question is, if an alt, who? Cloud's is the least significant in terms of difference but he's also the most popular. Makes sense business wise.

Not to state the obvious, but I like how half of the characters are cowboys. And Sky Skipper had to cash in on DK's sucesss by having gorillas as enemies.

That's when you can tell Nintendo was super Western at the time.

I just like Sky Skipper because he's a cool bomber pilot. Come to think about it, Nintendo pilots are cool
