Reminds me of the, uh...certain tower sitting in the middle of a lake. Clearing out the enemies around there without getting killed ended up being a puzzle in and of itself, especially since I was running low on arrows.

That actually was the one.

And I just completed it by shooting the enemies facing one side of it in the face with elemental arrows and one of the strongest bows in the game and then swimming over.

There's a darned reason why I put that off but there's nothing in the game that can't be beaten by sheer brute force and at times a little home cooking, LOL. I should know, I haven't even been using the dodging mechanics like I should.

Third day playing Breath of the Wild in the books. Here are a few thoughts.

So Mipha was Link's childhood friend? Sad to think about lost memories, but I DID get to the boss of Va Ruth. I'll tackle him in the morning, I'm way too tired right now

But I'm surprised I learned how I was supposed to shoot those shock arrows in Slow Motion to hack into Va Ruta. THAT was awesome.

Either way, when I get my hands on waterblight Ganon in the morning, I'M GOING TO ANIHILATE HIM!!!!!!!!!!

All of them are spot on tbh, even Hit's. I think Hit's biggest problem in Xenoverse 2 wasn't the voice acting, but the lines he was given.

Oh my GOSH this Korok puzzle I just did. It was like the target chugged every Speed Elixir on the planet. I'm astonished I even hit that, thank goodness I had a Falcon Bow on me.

Anyway, had the idea to look up a map of all the shrine locations and found one. Now just to find them at the empty spots and complete them.

Holy ****, guys. That Breath of the Wild ending is so freaking beautiful. I implore you to get all the memories and divine beasts. It unlocks a special ending that nearly brought me to tears. Also, I got all 120 shrines, all divine beasts, and all memories. Final completion rating? 30%...
I looked it up, the Korok seeds account for over 70% of the completion. In my 70+ hour rough average playtime running around and doing EVERYTHING I could find, I got 90. Guys that's a tenth of all of the Koroks. A tenth.

i'm about to finish up BotW soon, story wise at least. Was going to do as much side-stuff as I can before going for the final area, but spoilers can pop up anywhere (especially in youtube thumbnails) so i'm just getting that out of the way.

Thoughts on this?

Perhaps its PS's way to compete with Xbox's equivalent (which isn't on PC, yet). I was afraid when the service went PS4+PC only, but this might make it worth it if they get great PS4 titles.
Loved what I played of the service on PS consoles & PC (even getting a wired connection because of it), but even with PS4 games, I'd probably only subscribe if they discount a year to $100. Cause they did that twice.

I just glided to it from the mountain then killed the one wizzrobe with an ancient arrow and climbed the tower.

Hm... so Home Gamer a Taiwan gaming website Nintendo Switch forum has a thread showing someone try to connect the console to the dock's USB type C port without putting the console into the dock. He bought an USB type C extension cord that has one side plugs the USB type C port in the dock, and expand it out so the console can just plug it on the upper end.

I've never even played a Dragon Quest game but damn I want to now.

I highly recommend you play Dragon Quest 7 and 8. They are both on the 3DS. They are pretty fun.

I hope Dragon Quest 10 and 11 will come to the Switch. They are coming to the Switch, right?

I've heard some complaints about the lack of enemy variety in BotW, and it stuck in the back of my head. . .Then I started to slowly have a realization.

The enemies in BotW were picked quite carefully and deliberately in order to justify their being used, and it would take more than a vague desire for more enemy types for more than the bit we have to be worth adding.

Basically, it's a question of what enemies would actually offer something different or not. Does it use a weapon? Then what does it do differently from a Bokoblin, or if larger, a Moblin? If it doesn't use a weapon, what does it do differently from a Chu-Chu? This is likely why Lizalfos were turned into chameleons, to warrant their still being used when other things could do what they used to without them.

At least in the three games I tried to some extent before this, a lot of enemies either only did damage by touching you and were simply swatted away or puzzles with only one valid solution. Take that away and what basic concepts does that leave you with?

That isn't to say that you couldn't come up with other Zelda enemies to use, like, say, adding a Pols Voice and using your horse whistle or any other loud noise you can scrounge to stun it. But overall it actually seems like it would be quite difficult to think of a large number of enemies with functions unique enough to bother with making unique models instead of just using recolors and Stal variants to save resources and focus on what they have. And that's not even getting into meshing with the environment, which something like a Pols Voice. . .might need a bit of work in order to do.

In many ways Breath of the Wild feels like a base, something that due to trying something new doesn't have all the bells and whistles yet but still has the sensation of utter quality dripping off of it. Usually when I get this feeling it's more looking at the first game of an excellent franchise than with a new entry in an old one. I'm hoping they go somewhere with this base, a new game working off of what this one built up in a. . .hopefully far shorter and less bumpy amount of time would likely add things like more enemies, except with extra time to make them just as meaningful as the ones we have now.

But in the meanwhile? Go put on a hat you bought from some suspicious guy at night and feed a lizard some steaks. Seriously, they went all in as HECK on the quality over quantity thing, I really hope they keep all the features they currently have in terms of interaction with the weapon bearing enemies and add a couple more enemy types with reasons to exist that can hold all the weapons, eat food, and be tricked by hats in the next game, because it's hilarious and awesome and it leaves me wanting more.

Oh, and, uh. . .they may not be classified as monsters, but if they attack you of their own will and set off the enemy encounter song, they're pretty much monsters with a meat drop, so basically consider the wolves to be Wolfos because they pretty much are.

Champa and Vados sound fine to me. Those are the kind of voices that fit them. I'm a little iffy on hit. Would have expected something a little deeper, here, he sounds rather bored.

If the numbers are accurate, that's a pretty solid start. I can only imagine it getting better with some of the other games releasing later this year.

You can also dye it, which I think you can't do with the amiibo stuff. The set bonus strengthens the Master Sword's beam. Upgrading them involves the three spirit dragon's scales, fangs, claws, and horns (two of each), plus acorns, beehives, three star fragments, and energetic rhino beetles.

I'm pretty sure some people already saw the news where Jeff Kaplan talks about porting Overwatch to Nintendo Switch. Despite that I do hope that game can come to the console, I don't see me willing to play Overwatch on Nintendo Switch. Even Switch is a portable console as well. I prefer playing that game with mouse and keyboard.

And check out this mini laptop called GPD WIN running Overwatch. This laptop runs Overwatch pretty well, even slightly more better than my ASUS laptop...
So I don't see porting the game to Switch would that challenging as what Kaplan said, but anyhow,only he knows.
