Looks like a lot of people see Decidueye as the best gen 7 rep of Pokémon in Smash; I do see why as it does indeed have that Greninja-esque presence and I wouldn't mind it being added... but I kinda hope they push some other Pokémon instead of the starters.
To me, Type: Null has a lot of potential to become something big and popular, yeah even over its own evolution. Maybe it's just how I see it though. Would be fun to see something a bit out of the left field like that to be added in Smash. And it'd be a quadrupedal character.

Browsing through deviantart and I found some guy named thegreatrouge created some Pokémon x Undertale artwork. But this is pretty rare- because he made the monsters the Pokémon, dubbing them Undermon. And they're pretty damn cute.

There's four others, but these are a pain to load on my phone. But these are my favorites. Especially Sans- This Sans should be a Pokémon really.

Man Snake was hype in Brawl. I could re-watch this over and over.

Also I update my signature with a bunch of info. Hit me up in any those places mentioned, why don't ya?

Edit: it ain't showing up

A Pokemon needs to be able to grab items. Past Smash Pokemon that have gone on all fours have handled that with their mouths, but Type: Null is wearing a mask. . .

That said, I would still find it slightly more likely than some other Pokemon being playable. You can make something as rare an in-game hand out every other generation, but once you lock it to download-only it's too hard for people to replicate their experiences in the games reliably. Granted, that status has been revoked for Zoroark, but judging by the Master Ball Smash hasn't gotten the message. . .I also don't expect any Eevee based inclusions on the playable roster, because only one evo would be missing the point of it and translating the gimmick of the base seems like it wouldn't be very workable in Smash.

My Smash wishlist is pretty short:
  • Phoenix Wright (ideally with Maya, like in UMvC)
  • Isaac
  • Professor Layton

Beyond that I'm pretty indifferent. I could of course list off oodles of Fire Emblem characters like Hector or Sigurd (must include horse and silver sword with 50-kill bonus), but I get the impression people would just yell at me for wanting any more FE stuff. :p

So I see we're doing Smash wishlists? I guess I'll join in.

First party:
- Wolf
- Dixie Kong
- Bandana Dee
- K. Rool
- Incineroar (wouldn't mind Decidueye, though)
- Captain Toad
- Inkling
- Elma

Third party:
- Rayman
- Bomberman
- Nightmare (Soul Calibur)
- Yoshimitsu
- Snake
- Shantae
- Shovel Knight
- Crash

Pipe dreams:

- Doomguy
- Klonoa
- Spyro

Moral of the story, there's a lot of characters I'd like to see.

Does Type: Null have psychokinesis, though? It's Normal type and Mewtwo is Psychic.

I'd assume it's evo Silvally would have access with the right drive, but then it's mouth is also free so that gets around it anyway.

Silvally for Smash then?

The RKS System has already decent legs for a gimmick.

Type: Null's only Psychic moves are Heal Block and Imprison.

I wouldn't expect it simply because there's hundreds of other Pokemon in competition and it's usually the starters, legendaries, and very rare other Pokemon marketed that gets pushed forward with no real indication that Silvally will get that treatment, but I don't have anything against the idea.

Being able to juggle all types seems interesting enough and it doesn't have the complication of being event only. . .or being mouthless with a neck so stiff that having a mouth might not even fix anything, for that matter. I'd be more than OK if Silvally was made playable. I like it's design.

That said. . .whether or not we're ever seeing a Gen 7 Pokemon playable is most likely set in stone as we speak due to how Pokemon selections tend to be chosen by whatever is most recent rather than any demand. It's something to keep in mind.

Gen 7 is going to be one of those gens that has a ****ton of Pokemon that can work for Smash and everyone wants to see at least one of them but then we'll instead get some random ass Pokemon from the next gen and everyone will be disappointed but excited at the same time
Still, I'd love Mimikyu if I had to choose one from it

Is that the reason why they don't show up in the mobile version at all? I'd like at least some option to turn it on or off tho

I'm not arguing with that either, that thing's animations are hilarious, but aren't we supposed to keep this stuff under wraps for another six days? That said, it seems a bit more unlikely in turn and enough people will probably disapprove of the bodybuilder physique for it to not take off, but hey not gonna argue with this either.

Again, though, if there's a Gen 7 Pokemon in Smash then it's probably already chosen and being worked on as we speak.

Not that I think anything's a guarantee....but I feel like Silvally is the most likely to be chosen for Smash after the starters...

Considering it likely will have a significant role in the game's story being Gladion's signature pokemon as well as its backstory being a chimera modelled after Arceus...which isn't something that can be said about any pokemon in smash other than maybe Mewtwo...which could be a good enough reason for GameFreak to be willing to push it for Smash...

Another possibility I see for Gen VII is Lycanroc...I dunno about you guys but I wouldn't mind having a werewolf (I guess Wolf is kind of a werewolf but not really)

If I were to pick a Pokémon of this generation to be a playable fighter in Smash Bros, I'd pick either Mimikyu, Mudsdale or Zydoge.

If the rumor is true and the Smash 4 Switch port is out within six months of launch, I think a Gen VII Pokémon is incredibly likely.

That being said, I only feel confident about getting one of the starters (I think all have a shot, but Decidueye's is the best shot).

No clue. Ask Cyndane on that one. Maybe she knows?

I know you can disable signatures from showing up on all posts on your user options.

Lycanroc opens the same can of worms as the Eevees, though: the whole point of the gimmick is two mutually exclusive forms, and choosing one is snubbing the other.

Not that I would mind Lycanroc EITHER, but I think it would be less likely to be chosen for playable because of that.

Silvally the only issue I see is "something else will likely overshadow it", said something else most likely being the starters.

Signatures not showing up on mobile is because of the forum software's responsive design setup - signatures are often full of data-heavy stuff like GIFs, and attempting to load them on mobile can have bad results, depending on your data plan, your mobile's processing power (enough of them can make the page lag), and so on, so it just doesn't bother to load them. There's an option to turn off all signatures in your preferences, but if you mean having the option to enable them on mobile, I don't know exactly how much effort that would involve.

I'm now conflicted because Mimikyu's abilities and backstory fit so well with Akutagawa but it's called MimiKYU, is a doll and is cute just like Q himself
Why must I have to make such hard choices

Well, that would depend on some factors.

I see three scenarios that could set up here.

Scenario A: It's decided that Smash has enough Pokemon for now and that more focus should be placed on the Ballot choices, and thus none are chosen at all.

Scenario B: Gen 7 has a second entry released on either the 3DS or the Switch or Pokemon skips another year with releases, and a Pokemon is chosen from it.

Scenario C: Game Freak guns it straight to Gen 8, Pokemon and Smash release in similar time frames a few months after launch, Smash gets a Gen 8 Pokemon.

All three are worth keeping in mind. Admittedly expectations set one up to be disappointed by default.

The same argument can apply to the starters though...choosing one starter means you're snubbing the others...and the starters have always come in threes for the most part...only difference is they aren't part of the same evolutionary family, unlike Lycanroc and the eeveelutions...

Its something thats bound to happen in Smash anyway because sometimes a character is added at the expense of another for one reason or another...another example being Chrom and Robin...

If both Game Freak and Sakurai see potential they won't reject the idea because of snubbing the other form

wait what the **** it doesn't even get calm mind? not even will-o-wisp? Arceus gets access to Will-O-Wisp and finds use in some sets...

There's no way Switch is gonna get a Sun/Moon Pokémon. Switch is an (enhanced?) port, not a new installment.

But if there really is, I'm not sure who I'd say is the choice.

*prays for Scenario C with Gen 8 starters having more potential (imo) for smash*

Well, if ae do get a Gen 7 Pokemon, at lwast we know they'll be even slower than Robin :troll:
Just go with AQtagawa.
I love and hate you at the same time
But I guess I'll go with the angsty "I hope senpai notices me" teenager over the overly cute and murderous child
