Theories (more than one could be possible):
  • They're trying to say anything that was born in Alola will autoamatically become Alolan
  • Possibly a placeholder event until Pokémon Bank and/or National Dex are available
  • Game Freak saying "Transfer your own or tough luck buddy"

That set really doesn't do that Pokémon any favors.
Dhelmise is a PHYSICAL attacker, so Giga Drain and Solar Beam are useless. Instead, I'd go with...

- Power Whip
- Shadow Claw
- Anchor Shot
- Rapid Spin

Full on bulky but slow physical sweeper. Rapid Spin removes hazards, Anchor Shot gets essentially a third STAB due to its ability and traps foes, and the other two are other STAB moves.

Putting special attacks on Dhelmise is a huge waste honestly.
I already have two trappers on my team, and Solar Beam is not only a guaranteed Super Effective due to Soak, it's also even stronger because of Sunny Day.
Soak also makes it so that Steel moves are not effective, so I opted for grass moves.
On top of that, I was planning on using Power Whip a lot anyway, so it's not like I won't make him have anything physical.
However, Rapid Spin to remove hazards seems really swell, so I might use that instead of Solar Beam

Yeah, through TM

The rest of its moveset sux though but Baton Pass + Swords Dance/Calm Mind seems like a thing.
Plus, its ability prevents others from dance buffing themselves
Actually, looking at its moveset, it isn't that bad, I mean, for an offensive set, it sucks with only Revelation Dance, Flying moves and the everyone-can-learn-it TMs
But it learns some great support moves: Teeter Dance is literally Confuse Ray(though confuse might not be as useful now), Feather Dance ruins physical attackers, Roost is Roost, Double Team to pass through Baton Pass and Tailwind helps sweepers

We still don't know how much Steelworker boosts the BP, as far as we know, it could be a 1.3x boos.
Not that it changes the fact it's a powerful move that can cover against Ice and Fairy Pokemon

I have no idea how high Dhelmise's Sp.Atk is but it's probably low in the unusable tier, even more if you try to split it
Anchor Shot is the best Steel move it gets and using Solar Beam in favor of it makes no sense when Power Whip doesn't require a set up turn
Also, why would you even Soak with another Pokemon? Soak is useful to remove STABs and force a switch, the oppinent will switch out as soon as they see you putting a Grass type against their Soaked Pokemon

But what if they can't switch because Decidueye Spirit Shackled them?

Yeah, there's no excuse to not abuse such a high Atk stat
But what if they can't switch because Decidueye Spirit Shackled them?
Considering how all previous trapping moves have worked, it's 99% likely that its effects wear off once Decidueye switchs outs or faints
Besides, needing to switch between 3 Pokemon manually(as in, without the use of U-Turn, Volt Switch or Baton Pass) is just a slow process for such a so called "master plan" and there's no point to switching between two Grass/Ghost Pokemon like that.
Hard to believe we're less than a week away from Pokémon Sun & Moon.

Too bad time can't go faster...

I catch with my left hand. Is that normal for right handed people?

Fine then, I'll adjust the moveset.

Catch with my left...throw with my right...
Pretty natural to me as a right-handed person...

Journey is such a beautiful game. In more ways than one.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

One year ago, limits were broken. Both my own expectations for characters in Smash and the fan rule stating that "third party characters* must have strong ties to Nintendo" were Omnislashed into oblivion. A character that I was once against due to his complete lack of relevance to Nintendo ended up becoming one of my most hyped and one of my favorites to play as.

*Other than Snake, who was seen as being given a free pass due to his inclusion being a personal favor between friends.

EDIT: :4greninja:'d

It's really been that long since Cloud was revealed?

Sometimes, I don't feel like time passes by fast at all. But then times like this come along and I feel like it's all just speeding by....

1 year already?

And here I am, on the off chance that I do actually play Smash (which I do occasionally)...I still use the only character that ever truly got me excited for their inclusion!!
:4cloud::4cloud2:
And yet I feel like I'm one of the few that use him for more reasons than just because he's a good character...

And yet after all this time we are still waiting for that amiibo...

GameXplain talked aboot the possibilities of Smash Switch (part 1)

TL;DR version in spoiler
  • 3DS modes/stages included
  • :popo:
  • Not hopeful for other veterans besides :wolf:
  • Inkling
  • Possible new faces: Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter, King K. Rool, Dixie Kong, Rhythm Heaven
  • Will DLC continue to be a thing?
  • Will Sakurai continue?
  • GameCube controller support
  • Andre dislikes Wii U's menu layout

It's still somewhat hard to believe Cloud, a character everyone and their dog thought was just a pipe dream. But it actually happened.

And to be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of it at first. Until I saw this image.

After seeing all these characters side by side, it made me say "welcome to Smash, Cloud. You deserve it."

I just hope no one gets too disappointed if they broadened their horizons due to Cloud and then don't end up seeing who they want.

Enough people got angry over not getting the third parties they wanted before without the pool being widened.

Also everyone should keep in mind that both companies need to play nice in order for something to work.

Some characters are owned by direct competition with unknown levels of complication. Then there's the fact that, while it won't influence Smash Switch one way or another, Ubisoft is in the middle of a hostile takeover that may or may not mess things up a few years down the road. And we're already wondering about "LOL Konami" 's potential fallout.

And Sakurai did make a comment that he might have been a little concerned if Cloud had never shown up on a Nintendo system at all. It seems more like the validity of a character is more of a yes/no input on whether or not they've been on a Nintendo system at all than anything to do with "loyalty," which frees up the vast majority of possibilities right then and there considering just how many franchises have shown up but still leaves a couple of characters' fates up in the air.
