While mobile gaming definitely has a very large market, I will be really annoyed if that watered-down garbage truly becomes the mainstream of gaming.

You're in luck my friend, for those who didn't know, Nintendo held a conferance last night in Japan/yesterday, and guess what? Fire Emblem 13 got officially confirmed for the 3DS, that right, a new FE game, by the looks of things it seems that that will be the case because it looks like Fire Emblem 3DS will not be associated with any existing story.
FE12 not becoming localized confirmed. :(

>Link to IGN article.

>Link to IGN article about Nintendo

Nothing to see here folks.
Don't be so naive. IGN didn't even input their own opinions in that article. In fact, IGN's last article about the Wii U having "development problems"...they were defending Nintendo the whole way.

Plus, IGN totally meat rode that StarFox 3DS review.

I can see FE13 coming here, simply to bolster sales for the 3DS.

>Make a handheld with ****ty battery life

>Make an attachment that needs a AAA battery
>Now I need a AAA battery to play my 3DS while it's charging

Is it freaking operating wirelessly? This is almost as ridiculous as needing 3 separate AC adapters for the Sega CD/32x.

Almost.

My mouse takes a single double A.

I have only just recently changed out the battery. I've had it for over a year.

I won't argue about the battery life to the 3DS, but I have yet to complain about it as I've not used the system in a way it would be troublesome.

Anyone hear the announcement about how a firmware update will allow the 3DS to record videos in 3D?

I was excited for a bit...but then I realized...don't the 3DS cameras suck?

I am so confused by why people are posting links to IGN, not to mention Yahoo news

I forgot Yahoo existed

Sometimes I love reading these comments. It's almost as if they understand business more than these investors lol. "Herp derp. Supply and demand guys!"

While I don't want Nintendo making mobile devices...would it hurt if they brought some of the old school Nintendo games to phones? Duck Hunt 2.0?

I would hate to see mobile gaming take over. Phones only usually last 2-3 years anyway, so it's not like the games would live on. Plus, the overall quality of mobile games are not that high as everyone knows....

It's not like you can re-play something you really enjoyed 15 years down the road like you could with a SNES...

Currently, phone games have to be "entertaining" enough to replay over and over (hey, that reminds me of a 3DS game that just came out). You're not going to find a decently graphics title that will last you 10+ hours with fresh content. Like I said, I think the best phones can do right now is perhaps making it viable where they emulate games ranging from the SNES and before...and charging them.

Why is it only Nintendo are getting flack for not converting to Smart Phones?

Yeah, the 3DS hasn't sold exceptionally well, but that's because they haven't released many games yet.

Last time I made a remark about an article written by a woman, I was infracted (the site's own version of infractions) for displaying misogynistic views.

Because apparently, my views and beliefs have to be politically correct, and not my own.

Anyone here got starfox? Can I quit a game and retain the medal earned on a planet?

A lack of titles is why it's not selling as I've said many times before.

For people who don't love StarFox 64 or Ocarina of Time to death, there still is absolutely nothing to do on the Nintendo 3DS other than watch Netflix. I really have enjoyed StarFox since last Friday, but many gamers are not like me and aren't going to do 20+ playthroughs of the game.

When Mario Kart and Mario Land come out, I think people will be pleasantly shocked and stop writing up so much criticism. The Wii got off to a good start, because of the casual gaming and motion controls stuff being brand new, but it lacked titles just as bad when it came out. I believe that the 3DS has a lot of potential in it, and I really enjoy it already, but they have to release the games if they want to have hype for it. It's really not that hard of a concept to grasp. Most people need 3-5 games that they are interested in before they invest in a new video game system. The idea can catch on.

I answered your question in the StarFox thread, but if you check here first then you can quit out of a playthrough if you've already finished the mission and earned the medal.
