PATCH 8 (See changelog below):
http://www.mediafire.com/download/ah731dn53oemr36/NFreaksBuild-Patch8.zip

IMPORTANT: PATCH 8 IS NOT CURRENTLY INCLUDED IN THE MAIN DOWNLOAD. IF YOU ARE NOT UPDATING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION, DOWNLOAD BOTH FILES AND APPLY THE PATCH.

Well, after months of work, I'm pretty content with my build and I'm ready to call this the final release. I'll include a couple more patches down the road to fix some minor things and add new Smash 3 costumes, but other than that, it's pretty much done. Enjoy!

Features:
- CBliss costume expansion
- CEP stage expansion
- Buttload of custom music

Pretty much just what you'd expect from a custom build.

DEFINITELY NOT WIFI SAFE. It could be debated that this is tourney safe, but it depends on how lenient you want to be, as some legal stages have had texture and music updates.

LAST UPDATED: 06/25/14
PATCH 8 CONTAINS PATCH 7. Changes new to 8 are at the top of each section, separated.

COSTUMES
- Added unofficial Smash 3 Dr. Mario costumes
- Added or updated vibrant costumes for the following:
Dedede, Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong, Ike, Kirby, Bowser, Lucario, Lucas, Mewtwo, Pit, Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard, Ice Climbers, ROB, Samus, Wario, Wolf, Yoshi
* Most of these are temporary until Smash 3 models are released, and as such do not have updated CSPs and the like.
- Replaced dark suit colored default Samus with Phazon Suit colors
*** IF ANYONE CAN MAKE A CSP IN THE DEFAULT POSE FOR THIS, THAT'D BE AWESOME. I TRIED BEFORE AND THEY CAME OUT TERRIBLE ***
- Fixed a missing file issue with Snake
- Fixed team color issues with various characters
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Replaced Captain Falcon costume 8 with Mach Rider
- Fixed Mewtwo and Roy red/green team colors
- Updated Mega Charizard X costumes to WiFi safe to preserve tail hitboxes
- Updated Light and Dark Samus costumes. Replaced Fusion Omega Samus with PED Suit.
- Replaced Young Link for Toon Link with an updated model. No more spaz legs.\
- Updated SJS Zero Suit Samus models
- Many characters now have vibrant/SSB4-styled default textures. Most of these are placeholders until the Smash 3 project releases more stuff, but some might make the final cut.

MUSIC
- Replaced Ocarina of Time Title Theme on Skyworld with Groose's Theme
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Replaced Team Flare theme on PM Stadium with XY Trainer Battle Theme from Smash 4 Greninja trailer
- Replaced SSB64 menu theme with SSB64 Character Select Screen (SSB4 Results mix)
- Replaced Ridley's theme on Pyrosphere with a more fitting mix
- Appropriate music added for new stages

STAGES
- Updated New Pork City M
- Replaced S8-Crown with Theytah's competitive Hyrule Castle
- Edited Chemical Plant Zone's camera and blast zones. *** I NEED FEEDBACK ON THIS ***
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Replaced Bowser's Keep with S8-Crown (SMB 3D World)
- Replaced Mario Circuit with Subspace Emissary
- Replaced New Pork City with a better version
- Replaced Shadow Moses Island with a better version
- Replaced Frigate Orpheon with its static second transformation (thanks @soopercool101 !)
- Fixed an issue with Skyloft and Dracula's Castle on the SSS

MISC
- Changed Results Screen to one based off the default Project M Training Room
- Added traditional voices for Diddy Kong and Sonic
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Updated Donkey Kong's and Bowser's voices to "traditional" voices
- Reorganized SSS again
- Added SSS game title for SSB4 (Wily, Boxing Ring)
- Color-coded SSS icons
- Main PM stages have traditional green/yellow/red colors for starters/counterpicks/banned
- Purple custom stages are competitively viable. Blue customs are not
- Keep in mind the purple and blue were decided by my own opinion. Any input is appreciated
- Added the new splash/strap screen into the build
- Added Smash 3 HUD
Stage Select

Every custom costume has a CSP and BP (slowly working on stock icons)

New Results screen

Some music has been changed for most stages, and all custom stages have appropriate music. Don't worry, your favorite tracks from vBrawl/PM are most likely still included!

Most N64 SSB stages have been updated to HD versions (these are purely cosmetic changes)

Brought back a lot of Melee and Brawl favorites, most with competitive adjustments

Corneria and Sector Z are identical stages and actually share a stage slot!

And of course, tons of custom stages are included

Unfortunately, since this was meant to be a personal build, I didn't keep track of where I got the models and stages. Huge thanks to anyone who made anything I put into this build, and if you want me to take it out of the public version, PM me.

COSTUMES
Using the CBliss code for 3.02, every character now has at least 10 alternate costumes available. CSPs and BPs are all included (many of which I made myself), and very few characters have costumes that are different characters (the only three are Diddy -> Dixie, Olimar -> Louie, and Ganondorf -> Phantom Ganon). STAGES

Using the Classic Expansion Pack (see lakora.us), I've added a bunch of custom stages and brought back a bunch of Melee and Smash 64 stages. I've aimed for more a good mix of casual and competitive stages, leaning toward the competitive side (I'm a casual player but hate random bull**** such as the original Summit, and the group I usually play with agrees). Most of these are available on Brawl Vault, others were found in other Project M custom builds. The original Project M stages mostly remain unchanged (though their slots may have been changed to add music tracks to some stages). The Online Practice Stage has also been replaced. Page 1 consists mostly of Project M's original page 1 stages, returning Brawl stages, and the Smash 4 stages, with a few customs and Melee stages mixed in. Page 2 holds the last of the Brawl stages, some more customs, and most of the Melee and N64 stages.

Every custom stage has music to match, repetitive tracks have been replaced (e.g. Jungle Japes Melee had the Kongo Jungle music in it, but Kongo Jungle has now been added, so I replaced that theme for JJ). A lot of default stages have updated soundtracks as well, mostly replacing tracks from unrelated games or tracks I just thought were unfitting.

All stages updated with the Project M 3.02 camera.

Unchanged default music tracks are not listed.

I should mention this build almost definitely isn't tournament compatible (but hey, if someone who knows more about the competitive scene then I do says otherwise, woo!)

So I did overlook one thing, the Homebrew vs Hackless methods. I've only tested with homebrew and Dolphin, so sorry about that. I'm uploading a fix now, but in the meantime, it's a simple fix. Copy the "private" folder and "boot.elf" from the default Project M Hackless set onto the SD card with my build. I haven't been able to test this just yet, but in theory, that should fix any issues.

EDIT: This has been fixed!

Looks nice man, kind of similar to mine in some stages
I'll download it as soon as I get another SD card
Maybe I'll upload my own personal build too, but I have a question...did you find all the stages in Brawl Vault?
I mean, I've spent hours looking and it's been very difficult to find good/functional/complete stages, most of them are just recolors and others are giant walk-offs dull stages with absolutely no platforms or whatever , so I could only find like 4 or 5 that I actually liked

Not all of them. A lot of the Melee and N64 imports came from the stage expansion pack: http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=20291.0

What didn't come from there or from Brawl Vault I found here, usually in others' builds. I know exactly what you mean though, you have no idea how long it took to find some quality material for this.

I actually like some of the stages you used, for example Molgera's Battle Room , it looks amazing!
But I didn't use it in my build because it is just HUGE! and there are no floating platforms or whatever to make it funnier
I'm not saying you shouldn't have included it, I'll give it a try at your build cause it seems like the perfect combination between casual and competitive

What stage is that one next to Bowser's Keep and the one to the left of Wily's Castle?
Also, does the boxing ring causes lag? I was about to download it but I read some comments on Brawl Vault that it was still causing some troubles

The Rayquaza and the honeycomb ones look interesting too, never seen them before

- Yeah, the Molgera one is pretty big, but this version works a lot better. Great for FFAs. If a smaller version comes around though I'll definitely put it in.
- Outer Wall is next to Bowser's Keep, it's from Cave Story: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59DkZ1jowAc
- Vs Bowser is next to Wily's Castle. It's a transforming stage by Mewtwo2000, also kind of big, but really fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq3sD0JVZXE&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PLE67D89423A86188B
- There is some noticeable lag on the Boxing Ring and Wily's Castle unfortunately. As soon as these are fixed, I'll definitely update them. I haven't had any lag on Dolphin with either stage.
- The Rayquaza stage is Embedded Tower. There are actually three different versions, random on selection. This video shows all three: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFUdjsz8Qcc
- Hornet Hole is a pretty simple Donkey Kong stage, found it on Brawl Vault. There is a visual bug with the honey that the developer is still kinking out (even though it seems transparent, players are hidden by it). They actually have two versions, one where the honey slows you and one where it doesn't, I put in the latter.

In Wily's Castle too?
Well that's kinda strange, I have that stage too and it hasn't given me any troubles or lag, actually one of my favorites

I have some other good stages, like the falcon flyer with Ridley on the background and the Skyview Temple from SS
I'll upload my build tomorrow, cause it's sort of late now. Hope you check it and BTW, awesome build man

I'm currently updating Bowser's Castle to fix several issues, such as player and item spawn points, P:M camers and blastzones, aesthetics in the background, and (most importantly) optimize the models so they don't cause lag in 4 player matches. I'll let you know when it's done so I can send you the PAC and some new portraits your way.

On the topic of your pack, it's pretty neat what you did with cBliss and the CEP for stages, but I'm the kind of guy that needs all the portraits to be in the same exact pose. It just looks more polished and professional.

You should also test everything you use on a console version of the game to make sure everything goes smoothly. Not everyone has access to Dolphin, after all.

Are you telling me those two Metroid stages (The green one, and the one with Ridley in the background) are updated with 3.02's camera and what not?!

To be honest I'm not sure, but they seem to working fine.

Awesome, great to hear! That map is one of my group's favorites, can't wait. I know what you mean about the portraits, I'm just **** with photoshop so the best I could do was scour the internet and crop some screenshots. And yeah, the console thing is a good point. Like I said it is a personal build, so that wasn't a big priority for me, but if it's gonna be up for the public, probably a good idea.

I might be wrong about the Wily's Castle lag, I thought it did but it's been a while.

Interesting. The best thing I could say is to format your SD card and give it another shot. Not sure what the issue would be and trying to dig around for the cause would take even longer than it would to just try again. Also try flipping the lock switch on your SD card.

Did you try to make it Wi-fi safe?
If that's the case that's the reason you found it incomplete.
That happened to me in my build the first time, because I didn't know the stage expansion pack cannot be made Wi-fi safe

Oh right, I definitely should've mentioned that too. There's no way in hell this build is WiFi-safe.

Woah. I wanna thank you for introducing me to that absolutely sexy SR-388 stage. Did you get it straight off of Brawl Vault? And you said it works just fine in 3.2?

EDIT: >:U I can't find it anywhere. I guess I'll just extract it from the main file.

I love the costumes of this build, but would you consider doing a competitive version of it? I would edit it myself if I was good with these kind of things.

Not brawl final destination lol.

I would also like to be able to control what I can set to random. Right now it feels like I can't do that.

What I actually liked about this build is the casualness of some stages, as soon as I finish my build I'll upload it
I'm not really interested in competitive stuff, I'm actually looking for stages with gimmicks because I just play for fun

As I stated I'm not a competitive player, so I want to ask...why isn't Final Destination competitive?

I was actually wondering the same thing, is there a major difference between the two?

Unfortunately, the random stage select being broken is a side effect of the stage expansion code. Nothing I can do about it. :<

EDIT: Did a bit of research, and I guess Melee FD is preferred because of the edges. I've put it back in, with a fancy reskin. I'm gonna wait until I make a few other changes, then I'll push an update. I've also fixed a couple stage select icons and replaced Big Blue with Falcon Flyer.

i found out the reason it didnt work fully for me was because i used the auto l cancel code. is there any way you can get the auto l cancel mod to work with your build??
the only thing i would change is final destination to mars destination.

Personal preference, that could be changed in less then a minute
i would love to make my won custom project m build, ive downloaded a couple and really liked certain things from all of them.
i have no idea how to do any replacing of files except the auto l cancel code.

It really depends on what you're trying to change. There are a bunch of great manager tools here: http://www.lakora.us/brawl/costumemanager/
There's also BrawlBox, but things get more complicated from there. There are tons of tutorials around though, and most of it isn't too hard to figure out, just pretty tedious.

I actually wanted to put in the auto-L cancel (of course I'd offer downloads with and without it), but separating code from the GCT files is awful and I can't find it without the Project M code already in the GCT. I've looked but can't seem to find the standalone code to inject into mine.

Hey man, is lag in the boxing ring so noticeable, leaving the match unplayable?
I mean, I read Dr. Wily's Castle produced lag too but until now it has just worked perfectly so maybe this would be the same case

I'll go check and get back to you. I haven't done extensive testing on an actual console.

EDIT: No lag on Wily's for me either. Boxing Ring does lag a bit with 4 players. Not quite unplayable for a casual game, but you be the judge. It's completely fine with 2, and is pretty good with 3.

Quick question, would anyone happen to know how to update a stage to the 3.0 camera? I'm sure a lot of the stages I've put into this build haven't been updated and I'd like to go through and fix that.

About the camera...sorry I can't help you, I left all the stages with their default settings

i dont want to change much, just some stages i like from various builds and a pick of costumes that i like from various build. i know it would be tedious work which is why i havent tried it.
i was able to use the auto l cancel code with other custom builds, no idea why it doesnt work with yours, maybe ask the people who made it?

Most customs builds I've seen don't use their own GCT files (correct me if I'm wrong). Mine needs the included GCT for the costume and stage expansions.

EDIT: New version is ready! See the first post for the changelog.

75M and the summit one. Someone modified the summit one but used mine as a base. Are you looking for suggestions/feedback?

Definitely, all suggestions are welcome.

Actually, quick question. I'm looking to get into stage creation if only to make a better version of New Pork City, and I can't find any good tutorials anywhere. Would you happen to know a good one, or can give me a quick rundown of what I would have to do? I'm hoping this wouldn't be too difficult for a beginner, but I could be wrong.

Not really sure, and I can't test as I don't have an SDHC card. If PM 3.02 supports it, then this should too.
4GB SDHC card here, works fine on my console. A few of the new stages have noticeable slowdown but they're still playable.
The Beginning stage freezes my Wii though :(
