Not really. Banjo & Kazooie and Bayonetta were both popular picks on the ballot and they're also honorary Nintendo characters, as Nintendo originally owned the Banjo IP and they've been publishing and funding Bayo's newer games. They definitely feel like special exceptions to me in a way that someone like Travis wouldn't, and that's why I wasn't surprised to see him get Mii'd the other day.

I don't think that's the only factor but given the unique mechanics of several ones that have been released suggests to me that chance to incorporate distinct playstyles with them (like Terry's Super Special moves) might have played a part in why they got in.

I agree. I don't think why Ryu and Dante (or any character action game protagonist for that matter) in the same Pass would be a problem. I guess I could understand the point if they were revealed at the same time, or both were FP8 and FP9, but still... Joker and Hero were FP1 and FP2 and it wasn't a problem.
Nah it's faked, he was chatting with the people in his Discord during the livestream. Doesn't change that it was an absolutely embarrassing performance and he should have never uploaded this.
Yeah. I do. Because using your logic, The Smash 4 Rayman and Shovel Knight Leaks are real because there's too much effort put into them for them to be fake.
Are they backing the Smash part though? To me it seems like people just added on Smash to a credible leak about all of the other Crash stuff. I haven’t seen what the Crash leakers have said though.

This dude ranted for like, 10 - 15 minutes after Steve is revealed going "If you wanted Steve, you are clinically ill" and stuff like that. Got infamous and had to do the classic apology video.
Which Dante leak are you talking about? I guess you're talking about that one from 2018 who gave a lot of details for DMC5 and then also said Dante was in Ultimate's base roster. Because I don't remember any prominent and discussed leaks involving him after that.
That one. I just was talking about how seemingly legit leaks just slap smash info for clout when usually it's bogus but the rest is legit.
SNK has been wanting to make a ton of guest appearances lately. Terry's super moves are just part Sakurai's desire to incorporate gimmicks into DLC fighters, not the reason he got in.

I like all of the characters here. This would definitely make up for Min Min and Steve in my opinion.
