Hi everyone!

My name's Chris and I'm from Birmingham in the UK. I used to play Melee quite a bit (never competitively) but I love esports and am keen on getting into Ultimate after seeing the steps that Nintendo have made to gear the game towards the professional scene. I've yet to even buy a Switch, but Black Friday is on the horizon and I'm hoping to nab a bargain and start training!

I'm not sure what character I'll main yet but I'm a fan of the Bayonetta games so might give her a whirl - I'll make my mind up once I try all of the new characters though.

I'm keen on learning as much as I can about the game so if you have any recommendations (videos, people to follow on Twitter etc.) then let me know!

Hoi! Welcome to the boards, just saw this vid from Most Valuable Gaming earlier today. Since you're a melee player transitioning to Ultimate, i figured this could help:
As Greencast Greencast mentionned, Zero has some good videos. Personally i also follow MVG. NairoMK and if you're interested in the more technical stuff (frame data, lag, hitboxes), PushBlock makes some very good in-depth analysis of Ultimate characters.

Hope this helps, see you around!
