http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_d8VaGVz5IHere is another stage concept of mine. This one is kind of a successor to an already existing stage. Building upon the elements laid out in the stage preceeding it while adding it's own flair and flavor. This stage will incorporate many elements too it.
Rainbow Road, the iconic track featured in every Mario Kart to date. This track would be the successor to Mario Circuit from Brawl. The stage mechanics would be similar in a sense, where Shy Guys in karts will race along the track and pose as an obstacle. However, there is no layer above so there is not a vertical threat.
The background would take elements from every iteration of Mario Kart post SNES. You would have see the neon constellations from Mario Kart 64 and Double Dash. Falling stars from Mario Kart: Super Circuit, rainbow colored pipes and stars from Mario Kart DS and the track design will be based off of Mario Kart Wii. Inevitably Mario Kart 7 will have a greater impact on the overall track design, but since it is not out as of this time I will focus on Mario Kart Wii. When it does happen the element carried over from Mario Kart Wii in place of the design will be the occasional showering of Star Bits.
There will also be a starry screen floating in the upper right hand sky, allowing you to see where the racers are at and how many are coming down each road.
The stage design would be that of a forked road, with two tracks on the left and right.
A rainbow-eque platform swaying left and right would placed in the gap between the track. Allowing a cohesion to the stage so the big empty gap is not an unnecessary boundary. The track itself cannot be held onto, so trying to recover would only be via the platform. Reason for this is a subtle reference to Rainbow Roads infamous unsafe roads.
Another point is while the stage would be a Mario Kart stage it would kind of represent Mario's sports titles collectively. Which is why most of the tracks will be from his more "festive" spin off series'.
Stage Example:

O_O
This is how I feel about the whole roster, especially the Pokemon group. I mean, really? There are over 600 Pokemon but the series won't let us play as different Pokemon. From what I see all over the Internet, most people want the same old Pokemon from Brawl (plus Mewtwo and except Lucario) to return in all future Smash games.Like you said, keeping out third-party characters entirely would not affect sales. The only reason why they may have made a slight adjustment to Brawl's sales is because they were newcomers at the time. The "idiots" who bought the game just for Snake or Sonic won't skip SSB4 because they leave. Sure some of them will rage over it (or at least the "fanboys" will), but if they enjoy the game play, that alone won't stop them from getting the game. Most people who wanted to play as Snake or Sonic in a Smash game probably has already done so in Brawl, so regardless of whenever or not Snake and/or Sonic returns, almost all of the fans will likely carry over to SSB4. Even if it did affect sales, it won't be enough to where Sakurai notices.
Also, most (not all) fans are expecting at least one new guest to arrive as a playable character, especially if third-party characters return. Almost every fighting game has at least one new guest arrive in as a playable character and if guests return, I don't think Smash Bros. should be an exception to that rule. Having the same guests arrive over and over again with no new blood would get very stale to see.If he is unique, then sure.
No, I was showing how the stages would be affected musically in comparison to my other stage concepts. As well as showing what stages I project to be returning. Very few stages had new music added to them. Most were just shuffling the floating music that no longer had a home.Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!!!
Slow down there partner, you trying to over impress? Take a chill pill yo!! :3
So....basically you just added your own themes ey?? Meh. I guess.
Somewhere in my archive of posting is my returning stage analysis I did.Well, reasoning behind you stage selection would be nice but isn't necessary, only if you feel like expressing your points even further to convince the crowd, at least that what I would do.
Okay....so now I see why you did so, it was weird of some of the Melee stages in Brawl barely got any new music, plus the equalizer was horrible IMO, they simply didn't sound exactly the same as before which I actually prefer over the "new" versions.
Falling attacks like.....
So this is a late reply (was 4am then I finally passed out)are you talking about spikes/meteor smashes?
Ooh... run off on this design to make my roster. That's perfect.
I'm guessing 55 character slots and 1 "Random" slot.I'm guessing we'll get 51 characters 53 if you include the form changes. Anyway what do you guys think about Bowser Jr. getting in?
55? Please..that's even worse, it isn't even realistic at this point considering Sakurai doesn't simply want to JUST add more characters and stages. <_<
Well, I wouldn't take it so hard lol.. I'd like to see that number myself, though I'm highly doubting it will happen.Oops, sorry. That's just me wishing again. Realistically, I'm guessing 40.
But that's only nine new characters... I think 45-48 seems likely I'd really like at least 50+ but now that I think about it, it kind of seems a bit much.Day Fifty-Five of Rate Their Chances is up.
Also, I'm predicting 44 characters, not including transformation.
Why does it seem like every Megaman game has awesome music?I don't care what must happen to make it work. But if Megaman is in, I MUST hear this song in his stage! I'm drooling right now.

Huh? I'm talking in terms of a Smash roster, not fighting games in general. You do know a 50+ roster has happened before, right?
Prepare to lose your mind with this song. I love Doujin CD's for this reason.Yup, that's the stuff, more please.
Whoa! Whoa!!
Oh, I know. I was just asking.Huh? I'm talking in terms of a Smash roster, not fighting games in general.
