No matter what any one says, people will never be able to guess a roster perfectly. Every one is bias to certain characters/series and chances are there are gonna be one or two characters that no one would have guessed in a million years

Personally i want a roster with people like cp. syrup & chibi-robo, but there are people she want characters like Takamaru and pacman, and the facts are most of these characters won't get in.

People assume that the developers are gonna chose a perfect roster of characters, but chances are they won't have time to include every fan favourite, not to mention that often they don't even listen to the fans unless the fan base is loud enough (and I mean REALLY loud). *cough* ridley *cough*

Not only that, but they're probably gonna go ahead and do a mewtwo, where they scrap some characters, and fill their slots with newer characters, particularly with games like Pokemon and Fire emblem, because the truth is smash basically a really fun innovative fighting game, but a advertisements painted all over it (especially with franchises like pokemon, fire emblem, Earthbound, ect) so according to their logic at nintendo "why bother including lucario in ssb4, when we can sell gen 5 using zoroark instead"

However I do believe that game designers seem to be listening to the internet more and more and that this time around fan faves like Ridley are pretty much certain.

Anyway, bottom line is, we can guess and think and theorise, but at the end of the day the roster will probably end up as a strange mixed bag of predictably-suprising dissapointingly-awesome characters, and no matter the size of the roster, as long as the gameplay kicks ***, I'm willing to pay for this game.

I still think Waluigi/Isaac/Saki/Lyn/Goroh/Jill/Stafy/Kat&Ana are shoe-ins based on their AT status. Jeff/Grey Fox/Shadow/Resetti/Knuckle Joe/Hammer Bro I'm unsure about, but here's why:

Jeff: EarthBound, as loud and dedicated as its fan base is, doesn't actually deserve a second rep in the large scale of things.

Grey Fox & Shadow: This would be a second Konami/Sega representative, and I'm not sure they want to do that over putting more third party developers in.

Resetti: As fit for fighting as he is, and as much as his temper and banter would suit it, Animal Crossing is just too peaceful.

Knuckle Joe & Hammer Bro: No generic enemy has yet been playable in Smash Bros.

Technically there still is Magnus. He isn't just a one chapter character like previously thought (not going to spoil anything about that). He could have a chance if people like him enough. I can see him playing like Jecht from Dissidia FF, and how people envisioned Ganondorf and his big sword.

Jeff was in a slightly obscure RPG that already has a rep for its game and two for the series. Waluigi is a staple of Mario spinoffs. Waluigi has a better chance of getting in. Sorry that you hate him, but you don't have to buy the game.

Chapter 1 was... quite short. (-l.l-); I totally liked the entrance of Medusa though. But I think my sis did even more. Holy smokes, Twinbellows. (-0[]o-);;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; So epic and in FIRE.

The humor is so top-notch. Even BETTER than in Star Fox 64.


I think everything got better just from the Chapter 2. Also, I think I love Magnus now. He's banter between Pit was funny. Also Magnus talking to Palutena and then I TAKE THAT BACK HE'S A JERK = I almost got a game over because I lol'd so much.

Still, they probably will have to do their best to make Toad work. Maybe he could also share Peach's Down B attack, and an attack similar to Peach's Toad as well. I could easily picture him doing Kirby's dash attack as well, and copying Mario / Luigi's Up Smash (maybe give them something new as well?) and I think Squirtle's Up Tilt would fit him really good as well. Overall I picture him indeed as a mix between Mario and Kirby, with a few specials borrowed from Peach. Toad's Down B could work differently though, just as the bombs of the Links do.

Smash is a Nintendo spin-off crossover series. Likewise, only Dr. Mario would indefinitely make a better choice anyway. Alteast objectively, since Sakurai think Waluigi is more important than those other guy.

Nah, Earthbound and Mother 3 are both good hero-wise. If anything, a villain is much better than yet another less memorable hero. Porky is a better choice due to being in Smash already. We've seen him fight. Of course, it would require modifications to how he works.

Also, Jeff barely stands out at all. Earthbound is an extremely difficult game to find, and you can't even finish it on an emulator. But you can easily find any game with Waluigi in it. Of course he's more well known and popular. People know him. Likewise, as said before, there's quite a huge debate of whether games like Mario Kart are true spin-offs. Paper Mario is probably the only one that has its own separate storyline from the regular series due to being a completely separated world and its own canon. The entirely different paper style makes a huge difference as is.

Yeah, he does clearly think that. That's why he gave the Hammer Bro more fighting capabilities. And he said himself that he takes all the credit for everything in Brawl. Outside of some playable characters, we have to go by his word. He didn't choose Ike, mind you. But he chose nearly everything else, including AT. If he didn't? Well, you can't really say that since you have absolutely no proof and the only proof is that he explicitly took credit for most of the game unless proven otherwise.

Also, Porky would make a great character.

Sorry, but he isn't at all. He's an obscure secondary character. Waluigi is a very well known secondary character. Jeff isn't even as popular as him. Until Nintendo releases Earthbound(and Mother 2) on the VC, Jeff's chances are pretty bad. Also, Ness is the main hero. They beat secondary characters automatically. Not to mention, he's also one of the full main characters. Just like Porky and Giygas. And MAYBE Paula at best.

But here let's say it again: people knowing of Waluigi isn't necessary a good thing, considering at least half the games he appears in are less than mediocre.

Reviews severely disagree with you and that's your opinion, not fact.

Jeff would also do something, namely: fight. He could have a lot of projectiles for his specials. His tool fixing ability would be cool to implement as well. He's much more unique than Waluigi ever could be.

Waluigi isn't even a secondary character yet. Otherwise he would've appeared in main stream Mario games as one.
