So how is Myths and Monsters referenced?Mmmm more Kid Icarus Uprising spoilers
So apparently Myth and Monsters is sort of kind of refferenced. Palutena gets turned to stone! After she gets possessed....and is crazy for 3 years...because there's a time skip in KIU...and then you have to fight her. Not much is described there about it, but apparently she can shoot energy blasts or something. So there's that. Apparently it went really quick, but from what I can tell, most Uprising bosses go down pretty quickly.
There's a plot twist?! Holy crap. That's what I thought, but some bits have leaked through the seemingly impenetrable spoiler barrier, and I learned a plot twist against my will.
I mean, I guess how substantial it is might be kinda relative, but I certainly didn't want to know thatThere's a plot twist?! Holy crap.
Whelp... I see you as soon as I buy the game and finish it. Buh-bye. *Slams the door*
Oh my gawsh, this made me laugh pretty loud! The forum pages look like CIA documents, with all those black rectangles covering precious information.
So how is Myths and Monsters referenced?
Palutena got turned to stone. Its sort of a stretch I guess, but its something.
Yeah, that is really stretching it, and I personally don't think that counts as a reference especially for a game that likes to smash down the fourth wall as much as Uprising. Also, any word about whether Palutena goes back to being Pit's ally after she is defeated, and also how the game ends?
Well, if Palutena is one of the first newcomers unveiled, Medusa is probably going to be one of the most requested female newcomers for Smash 4. She will definitely be the most requested character for a third Kid Icarus character, however, I think most Medusa supporters are going to agree that Palutena is pretty much "THE choice" in regards to there being one newcomer. If Medusa does end up getting in Smash 4 as a playable character, she will most definitely be a hidden character and her moveset will at least borrow the specials from Palutena (meaning she will be anywhere from a Lucas/Wolf clone to a Melee styled clone). But yeah, Medusa' fan base is gonna die off drastically after a good half a year, and I'm pretty sure Sakurai knows it, too. Only the people who really like Medusa as a character/mythical creature, don't like Paletuna and feel a new Kid Icarus character is inevitable, or really want more villains in Smash are going to support Medusa.
I agree, however, aside from Paletuna, Medusa, Krystal, and Dixie Kong, which female characters get much support at all=??? Really if even one of the other 3 get confirmed, Medusa's supporters will have a reason to celebrate and start to "rally."Well, if Palutena is one of the first newcomers unveiled, Medusa is probably going to be one of the most requested female newcomers for Smash 4.
This scenario reminds me of Ike with Fire Emblem pre-Brawl, except Paletuna isn't all but confirmed like Ike was (because Ike is a BEAST!!!).She will definitely be the most requested character for a third Kid Icarus character, however, I think most Medusa supporters are going to agree that Palutena is pretty much "THE choice" in regards to there being one newcomer.
I think that is still a small possibility. I was feeling the likelihood of us having 3 Kid Icarus representatives was low before, and I definitely feel the chances of that happening are a lot lower. However, the idea of late/late-ish/later add-on characters (not just clones) could open some doors in this scenario for Medusa. If Medusa does end up getting in Smash 4 as a playable character, she will most definitely be a hidden character and her moveset will at least borrow the specials from Palutena (meaning she will be anywhere from a Lucas/Wolf clone to a Melee styled clone).
I think this is what a lot of people will say from now on, actually. I felt Medusa may not have a big role in Uprising's plot/gameplay before all this was revealed, and I have voiced that on some occasions. However, Medusa will probably have detractors that say:
1. Medusa should not be in for "insert plot reasons".
2. That three characters is way too much for a series that was just resurrected.
Yeah, those are the only female characters that I can see having notable amounts of support. However, I think they will only really rally if Palutena is among the first unveiled newcomers, which will validate to Medusa supporters that Sakurai may not be humble about including Kid Icarus newcomers.I agree, however, aside from Paletuna, Medusa, Krystal, and Dixie Kong, which female characters get much support at all=??? Exactly. I think a lot of the amount of support (in terms of numbers and the amount of fans who are "rabid") depends on how good Kid Icarus Uprising really is, and how popular Kid Icarus Uprising is. However, I doubt Medusa would ever be one of the top ten or so most supported characters pre-Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U.Yeah, those are the only female characters that I can see having notable amounts of support. However, I think they will only really rally if Palutena is among the first unveiled newcomers, which will validate to Medusa supporters that Sakurai may not be humble about including Kid Icarus newcomers.
Dixie Kong could end up being the most desired potential newcomer character (which doesn't include Melee cuts)... if, of course the Big Three as I call them are confirmed fairly early (Ridley, Mega Man, and King K. Rool). The hype for Dixie Kong could be off the wall. I think once the ball gets rolling, she will be at least one of the top 15 or so most popular potential newcomer character consistently. I wouldn't be surprised if she was 1 of the 5 most desired potential newcomers. She almost was added in Brawl, which doesn't hurt.I already previously mentioned that if K. Rool is one of the first newcomers unveiled, Dixie Kong is going to have a massive boost in popularity (probably bringing her at least among the Top 5 most wanted newcomers, and possibly Top 3).
Also, that roster on the last page... is way too big. It had 70-something characters. We're likely going to get somewhere in the high 40's or low 50's in terms of playable characters. If that amount is your expectations, you need to bring them way down. If that's just a wild crap shoot of 70 characters though, that's cool. Just don't go expecting the world in these forthcoming smash bros games and wind up being unhappy when they exclude Australia and Antarctica!
It was the gayesy remark I've heard, so I countered "What about Ice Climbers?" This was his legit response. It goes without saying that DK will not be in SSBU. Clearly, because he's shown himself so little.
Any thoughts on this logic? Spoken from Facebook. I just look at it as a silly fanboy, but he got 15 likes off the first reponse, then 9 on the 2nd. I fear our logic is dying slowly...Ice Climbers is more popular than DK.
Okay, that's all fine and dandy. Just as long as you don't expect that many characters to be playable. I don't want your hopes to be killed like folks on here pre-Brawl did who were expecting 50+ characters. I hate seeing people have unreal expectations and then have them shattered. Seeing that happen to others makes me sad, actually.I probably didn't make it clear, but it's DEFINATELY not an expectations list. think of it as a list of lots of different ideas and/or possibilities combined into on big list to show off a lot of different ideas, to get people thinking about what COULD be in the game but not what necessarily will be
Later on i might do an expectations list, but that requires a lot more thinking.![]()
I heard that Nintendo released some no name game with some winged boy today.
I wonder if he could make it to smash?
I bet his new game won't effect his moveset. Peach finally got her own game and nothing from it influenced her next smash appearance.
Lol I had a similar event. Ever get those "Short ankle biting" idiots? Kid's 5'1, and I'm 6'3. I put my fingar on his forehead and said, "No! Sit! Be a good boy!"@ asage
Stupid says as stupid does. There's no arguments for stupid or ignorant people. I remember I was a part of a social group in college when I first went to my current college, and some kid tried to straight up start a fight with me and this other guy. We're both over 6 feet tall, and this kid is maybe 5'8, and much less physically fit.
*cough*shortie*cough* But yeah, it was a main discussion, so ignoring him with the button wasn't nessasary. I just left the discussion alone.Basically stupid people are... well... stupid. Be smart and just get over them, ignore them, and maybe block. That's what really annoys people. Everyone wants to be loved, some people want to be hated, but nobody wants to be ignored or have people feel indifferent towards them. I find this to be true in just about everything.![]()
. . . . . . . . . . .major spoilers:
Kid icarus uprising final boss and ending here:
http://youtu.be/wt4-th6sx-k
medusa does show up during the final battle for a little bit because she is angry that she is constantly used as a pawn by hades and even manages to knock off hades's head. Hades of course then destroys her quickly and tells her place will always be his pawn. Viridi seems like she is probably going to have a lot of fans too, judging by her apperance and personality. Pandora, a boss in the original kid icarus and during the medusa arc in uprising, returns later in uprising as a beautiful woman and not a blob.
Not just *******, but weak *******.Lol I had a similar event. Ever get those "Short ankle biting" idiots? Kid's 5'1, and I'm 6'3. I put my fingar on his forehead and said, "No! Sit! Be a good boy!"
I love ******* trying to act tough. It makes the punt worhtwhile![]()
