I don't know... We still don't know what could be Sakurai's character plans.

But I, for one, think the fact that Isaac is one of those Assist Trophies whose franchises rose from the ashes after Brawl is quite important.

Sakurai is a very unpredictable man. You never know what concept he'll pull out of his *** next. Maybe he'll actually inject a little pride into the game so we can have a Meteos stage.

I have doubts about a Golden Sun character, seeing as it's really only outside Japan that one has heavy support, and we've already got plenty of characters that are like that, such as Ridley and Little Mac.

That, and I feel with Camelot pushing Matthew as the "main" hero of the series, even going as far as stating that the first two GS games were mere "prequels" of the main story that starts with Dark Dawn, they would personally request Matthew instead of Isaac. However, a compromise could be met, that with Matthew's near identical appearance to Isaac could lead to an alternate costume of young Isaac's outfit.

I am not trying to use the relevancy bs, but rather the fact that Camelot is a 2nd Party, and 2nd Parties usually have a bit of say in their characters (I.e. Lucario and Ike)

But seriously, though. Golden Sun, with one AT and an awesome remix wich became one of the best songs in the game, was the "Assist Trophy character" franchise with the most content in Brawl...
I don't know, but maybe this is something to be considered... I really believe those AT's may be something to think about.

If they just announce a new Golden Sun soon I'll perhaps be less concerned when it comes to Golden Sun. But even though Matthew will make it, I hope he'll get a Isaac alternate costume.

There has been many stories regarding GameFreak and The Pokemon Company. Most of which involve the demand to add Lucario. (Hint: "Add Lucario". Not "Replace Mewtwo with Lucario")

Never have I heard anything regarding Jigglypuff nor have I heard anything regarding threats of not allowing Sakurai to use content from Pokemon over one character, be it Lucario or Jigglypuff.

I'm pretty sure most of those rumors are not true.

Looking at the Discussion Group "discussion" of this, it seems that TPC is really only strict on character design rather than the character itself. The character itself is all left up to Sakurai, which I'm guessing is one of the reasons we got Lucario (his movie was that good) and still have Jigglypuff.

Ironically I believe that there was an actual link to this that was posted a few thousand pages back in late July, but that was before the Info Thread so I didn't save it.

The words of the red stamps for the leaked artwork for Toad and Tingle in Smash Bros. Universe apparently are "Think back". I don't know what this means, but it could mean that he is unsure of the characters at the present time and needs to "think back" on them.

It could be a simple "Maybe" that could go either way, meaning they're considered playable but then may be demoted, or the other around.

Lots of characters where considered for Brawl Sakurai said before. He just didn't want to disclose which ones they where. Probably to not cause too much hype / dissapointment for said characters.
