Earlier today, the Pokémon Company released a livestream event which gave us some more information concerning the upcoming Pokémon Sword & Shield DLC, The Crown Tundra. The DLC is set to launch on Thursday, October 22nd.

In the video, we caught glimpses of many Legendary Pokémon such as Diaglia, Landorus, and Kyurem. In fact, you say “All the Legendaries are here!” Even non-Galarian forms of Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres will appear. These Legendaries can be found in Dynamax Adventures which leads several brave trainers into the depths of a Pokémon Den to fight these gigantic titans. One of the more exciting bits of news was the (very quick) confirmation of Galarian Slowking. The official website offered more information on this Pokémon.

Galarian Slowking is the Hexpert Pokémon and is Poison and Psychic. It has an unique ability called Curious Medicine which causes the ally’s stats to reset when it enters the battlefield. It’s unique move is Eerie Spell which deals damage ands away PP from the last move used by the target. Galarian Slowking seems to have gotten these newfound power due to the poison from the Shellder seeping into its brain. The video also confirmed the Galarian Star Tournament which allows you to play Doubles with the many stars of Sword & Shield as well as from its expansions.

Pokémon Go was also confirmed to be compatible with Pokémon Home and players will soon be able to transfer their Pokémon that they captured in this popular mobile game to the current Pokémon bank system. The last part of the video was dedicated to the music video “Gotcha” which featured the new song “Acacia” by the popular Japanese band, BUMP OF CHICKEN. It’s been noted for its thrilling animation and sentimental impact for new and old trainers alike.

So what dud you think of the presentation? Are you excited for Crown Tundra? What are your thoughts on Galarian Slowking? Did you like the music video “Gotcha”? Let us know in the comments below!
