the new fighter is lola pop a candy themed clown who arrives with nunchucks

I guess with her Ballon powers that's Lanky Kong out of the running. I understand that it makes her bounce in midair, good for mindgames, but what does it do on the ground? I think it gives her a bigger nope-box while guarding to make the foes ARMS more useless than normal but I'm not sure.

It looks like at the end, she's able to perform a higher jump out of it, as there's little shape effects (they oddly look like Kamek's magic from all of the Yoshi games) when she jumps and deflates. She also seems to slide back a lot when her guard is hit, keeping her out of harm's way?

This is all just guessing on my part, though.

With Lola Pop's Reveal, I think she'd be the ideal ARMS assist trophy. Using her reflect arms to block enemy projecticles and if they attack her, she becomes like a bumper, knocking them away.

Her design is so silly, yet I love it.

At least I got the fighting clown I've wanted.

I guess that really sums it up. While most of the other backstories seem to have some more length to them, they really aren't that much more complex tbh.

I play as Min Min in the game, but I think it should be Ribbon Girl. It seems to me that her and Spring Man share the cover duties, but Spring Man lacks a bit of personality in my view. I would be okay with Spring Man and Ribbon Girl as alternate costumes.

I am becoming more convinced an Arms character will appear in the next Smash.

I support this! I was very into the game when it was coming out. Still haven't played it, but I love the atmosphere around it, and pretty much everything. Especially the fighters.


I'm going to say the ARMS representatives will have to pull an Olimar/Louie situation. So, definitely Spring Man and Ribbon Girl.
Maybe even Min Min and Ninjara too, but all under the same character slot.

Hey, I finally got to play ARMS two days ago! I can see the all the hype around the game being justified now. I had so much fun with Min Min and Mechanica!

Hell, that day was the first time in my entire life that I ever used a Nintendo Switch, so...hooray!!

But the real question is, will this be just as campy as the game or grimdark.

We all know that Darkhorse Comics is known for their dark and edgy comics.

After looking closely at the grainy footage of the new fighter, he's definitely have a African background going for him.

As if the the current cast doesn't look diverse enough on their own. I can see him being paired with Twintelle alot.

IDK, I've seen darkness represented that way before and it wouldn't be the first time that I've seen a death element, either.
