Who are you to say who is for Brawl and who isn't? As far as I'm concerned ANY Nintendo franchise, whether Japan Only or translated, has a chance. After such a WTF character like Pokemon Trainer, everyone and anyone can be in.
I'm not saying who's going to be in Brawl, I said I expect. That's not saying people are in Brawl. I'm saying I wouldn't be suprised if they were in Brawl.

And Pokemon is a hugely sucessful franchise around the world. Excalmation Warriors are the opposite.

So does Stafy! He dashes, spins, and crashes. Being cute doesn't make you any less powerful. I.E. Pikachu.
Yes, and that's all Stafy does. And I don't care if a character is cute or not. I fully support obscure or even "cute" characters like Skapon if they have potential in my eye.

You're right, it's just he would be the last character expected. As are Stafy and others if they make it in.

Exclamation Warriors just got started a few weeks ago, and someone at IGN likes them. Here is his or her quote if you are too lazy to go and read it at IGN:

Nintendo's most brand-new mascots were just announced to exist a few weeks ago – the Exclamation Warriors! But we can be already assured that there's no way they're coming to the States, since their debut game is only being offered as a bonus for members of the Japan-only Club Nintendo. The Exclamation Warriors are a group of five Power Rangers style heroes, and they're controlled almost entirely by sound. You play their DS game by yelling commands into the DS microphone, telling them when to punch, kick and morph into Warrior form. Why are they on this list? Because look at them – they're freaking awesome. Wouldn't it be a blast to have this team of non-Rangers leap into action in the middle of a Brawl battle and cooperatively destroy your opponents? Or even having one of them playable – it would essentially make Brawl a cross-over between the Nintendo world and the Ranger universe. It's morphin' time!

Your job? You think it's your job to argue about Japan only characters?
Go ask Algus that question. He'll probably tell you the answer.

According to Adam Sessler, one of the hosts of G4's X-Play, "Nintendo is a Japanese company". Therefore, you will see some Japan-Only characters, whether you like them or not.

I understand the Exclamation Warriors are very unlikely at entering, but no matter how low the Japan-Only and/or lesser-known characters' chances get, it is still possible for them to enter at least as a sticker. It's not just Marth, Roy, the Ice Climbers and Mr. Game & Watch who entered SSBM, there was also Donbe & Hikari, Ray Mk II, Donkey Kong JR., Kururin's helicopter called the Heririn, Doshin the Love Giant, Jashin the Love Giant, Ayumi Tachibana, and a few other Japan-Only and lesser-known characters appeared.

No offense parrothead, but the fact that you just cited G4 just makes your entire argument 100 times worse.

Plus, you didn't have to ,we all know Nintendo's a Japanese company.

Nintendo could add the Exclamation Warriors to advertise their game only sold at Club Nintendo of Japan. Just like Roy and Fire Emblem 6: Sword of Seals, but not in retail stores, ONLY AT Club Nintendo of Japan.

Yes, that would make them millions. [/sarcasm]

Thing is, FE6 actually sold well. This wouldn't aid sales in the slightest.

Yes, I read the quote. Just because Sakurai said there will be Japan only characters, it doesnt mean that The Exclamation Warriors are 100% playable.
Is anyone in this thread saying that to make you go against it completely? No. Like I said many times, this thread isn't about people claiming they will be in Brawl, it's actually acknowledging they have huge potential to be amazing and unique characters. Stop whining, because no one gives a sh-t.

Sorry, what?
This thread isn't about debating whether they're going to be in, which is what you have been whining about all throughout this thread about how they aren't going to be in. This thread is about actually seeing their potential. I totally agree they won't be in Brawl as playable, honestly, I think other characters deserve the spot more (however, in the future installments, I would like to see them playable once all the good characters our in the roster). I already know that, and so does everyone else. No one cares about your constant whining about them not being popular. That's what.

Simply put in two words: Stop whining.

I wasn't whining, it was a clash of opinions. And I thought the whole point of this thread was to discuss whether or not they should be in Brawl, so excuse me for not knowing.

They should only be in the next game if the game is released outside of a club. If there is no sequel to EW, then there's no chance of them being in the next smash.

Stop whining, because no one gives a sh-t.
Overstatement of the century. About 4 people are involved in this arguement. The only people who doesn't give a **** is you and maybe parrothead.

Other than me, Chickenboy666, someone at IGN, and a few other unknown people that like and support the Exclamation Warriors. Luke, it would have been better if you would say "not many people" than "no one". I don't support them as much as several other Japan-Only characters.

Well, it's a difference to simply say, "They probably won't be in the game due to a lack of support and fanbase." rather than going on and on about how they shouldn't be in the game just because they aren't as popular. I'd say that's whining at its best.

I wouldn't say that. Many unpopular one-shot games have a huge cult status with potential main characters as being playable. F.e.: Kid Icarus (although it did have a small sequel, but it's close enough), which isn't really a popular game at all sales-wise in any country when it was released.

I like to always make every quote stress on the importance of it even if it exaggerates just to create the ultimate impact.

Pit is in to carry on the retro theme they started with Ice Climbers. I cant imagine him being in for any other reason.

You would say that's whining at it's best, I was just stating an opinion. Lets just leave it there.

I highly doubt Pit is just in to carry the retro theme. Pit is also very popular with the fanbase as a character, and Sakurai not only knew that but made Pit into an amazing looking character in Brawl. So he didn't put Pit in just because he is retro. He put him in because he had great potential to be really cool and original. And he's most likely going to do the same with Takamaru and Skapon as he's made it obvious he was interested in both of them in the past.

LOL, WUT?

Since when was there a "retro theme?" Seriously, people keep on spouting that there's a "retro theme" because of Ice Climbers and G&W. So now a few old characters reinterpreted constitutes a "retro theme?"

I guess when Metroid Prime and Fusion came out they were just bringing back the Metroid series cause they were feeling all retro and stuff?

"Oh dang, remember that Metroid series we had back in the mid 90's? Ya! Let's bring it back, cause that'd be so retro! Everybody'll be like 'Yo Nintendo! You dudes are so cool and retro for bringing back that Metroid stuff!'"

Smash is just about Nintendo, if they reach into their history for a few characters it doesn't mean Brawl has a "retro theme."

Are you pissed or what?

All I meant by retro theme was another character who hasn't made an appearance since the NES days ( I know he was on GB too, but that doesn't count.) You took that way too far.

You're obviously in delusion. Half of his games are complete sh-t and has lost it's originality and uniqueness ever since Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. And overall, Sonic is a dull and lame character.
I been kickin that knowledge for a while now..... people dont see.........:ohwell:

K, you can just refute it by saying "you're pissed" and "You took that too far."

Way to go.

All I meant by "there's no retro theme" is that there's not a retro theme. I don't have to clarify cause it's obvious and it makes sense. There's a few older characters. But they've all been remodeled to fit in with the modern game (with the exception of G&W) Pit and Ice Climbers should not be considered retro, because they have been remodeled to fit in these games.

Heh, whoa, I never even realized it! That company must just be a game developer completely devoted to making retro games!

They probably have a hand in Smash too, what with the obvious "retro theme" and all.

Retro Studios makes the Metroid Prime games...Not a devotion to Retro games...

All I meant by the retro theme was bringing back characters from the NES days who haven't recieved a sequel.

I dont like Sonic or Stafy. I'm all for Ridley : D

And popularity is very much the issue in Brawl. You cant even say that it's not why half of the characters are in there. Would Ike be in the game if he wasn't the most popular Fire Emblem character of today? I doubt it.

There were still more FE games out than this crap at that point.

I promise, if these guys are in Brawl, I will castrate myself with a spoon, I give you my word.
I hope they put them in brawl then cause that would be hilarious.

Wow, you're a complete ******. You don't even deserve to have me respond to you. I was responding to a different person, when I talked about Retro Studios.

You're done, seriously. Stick a fork in you, you're done.

Sorry to bust you nay sayers's bubbles.

Sakurai: "You may even see some that only the most dedicated fans will recognize."

So characters like Stafy, Demille, and the Exclamation Warriors have a bigger chance than we thought. If you don't want kiddy/cute characters that "suck" then go play Halo. Me and true Brawl aficionado's will welcome these awesome, unique characters with open arms.
Didn't he say that about Assist trophies? One of the reasons AT's were added into the game was so that unrecognized characters like the Exclamation Warriors could be in the game. I don't see these guys being anymore than an AT.
