New Character: Mudkipz

Mudkip is an interesting pokemon that originated in Pokemon Ruby and Saphire. S/he was the water (and later water/ground) starter. This Pokemon is isanely popular in some communities and brings a new element to Smash.

As far as I've noticed, this game doesnt have too much water (or even ground) rep. IC are ice and squirtle isnt a stand alone character.

I've said my part, now lets root for Mudkip!

Besides, who doesnt liek mudkipz?

Whatever floats your boat. Mudkip has a lot of competition; I don't think it stands a chance. It doesn't even work as a playable character (Mudkip is not bipedal, and doesn't have other appendages for grabbing objects).

And about your lack of water-type representation: You could argue that for about a dozen other types as well.

The only way I see Mudkip being in Brawl as a playable character is as a PT esque style ,but I doubt they'd do that again.

I really would love to see Mudkip come out of his Pokéball and call another mudkip from the background. Then they both stand there and say " Mud" "Kip" for the entire match.
If you know what I'm talking about, kudos! Otherwise Search Youtube for Mudkip.

I think Brawl would be better off with just Pikachu, PTrainer, Jiggly, and maybe Mewtwo and/or Lucario. Just not Mudkip. Not playable.
