Leaf's profile with moveset.

Some of you would think that he would be the clone of Marth/Roy/other similar swordsmen, but I'm certain Leaf has some moves unlike most other Fire Emblem swordsmen. For one example, he can cast a spell using his Light Sword. If you still think he is a clone, think again. His Shining Stab is like a strobe light.

Just about everyone would Stryks.

Sigurd, Celice, Ike and Marth are just a few of the characters that have priority over Leaf.

Besides, barely anyone played that game on the console compared to the others ones.

THer problem that lowers his chances is his popularity over here. Yes, they probably know him in Japan, but Nintendo said they wanted to get some of our opinions. He has a chance, but there are many other FE characters that have much better chances.

Yay for Leif, my personal favourite FE Lord. Technicaly he was in Melee, as a Marth alternative costume, but I'd love to see him make an appearance in Brawl. He certainly is one the most unique of the FE lords (brown hair anyone?).

+ Rep for you.

Japan holds the detrimining factor as to who from FE get included in SSBB, as the series is in its infancy outside Japan. As far as I know, Leaf is one of the more popular Lords - having been a character in FE4 and the starrring character of Thracia 776, which was a midquel to the previous title - taking place between Chapter 5 and 6 of the previous title.

Sigurd, Celice, Ike and Marth are more popular.

I realize I just sounded like a total *****, but it's true, and they're not going to add that many FE characters in.

What the hell is with my sig? It's not showing up....this is lame.

OHNOES!!! Where's Shakira?!?!?!? The scenery looks kinda peaceful though.

Anyway, Leaf is gonna have to go past Sigurd, Ike, Oguma, and Ayra to even stand a chance.

FE3 sales- 830,000+ Have marth
FE4 sales- 750,000+ N/A
FE6 sales- 393,000+ have Roy

FE5 sales- 230,000(only sold poor cause releasesd in 2000 on snes...very popular but not over FE3/4)
Those are the three highest sold FE games, and as you can see, Sakurai tok suggestions from FE3/4/9 and no other games...

Leaf was also thought to be one of the weakest lords in FE history...

Um, Leaf was also in FE4 I hope you know... and having ACTUALLY played the game, I can say from personal experience that he is NOT weak. In fact, I had no trouble at all keeping him alive, which wasn't the case for either Marth (FE3) or Sigurd (FE4)...

Marth sucks in the FE games, Sigurd was good though...

Eliwood takes the cake for the worst FE lord in both personality and strength.

I wasn't using that as an argument for Leaf being excluded, I was just being off-topic and random.

Leif's cool. Sure you could argue he has bad stats, but Marth wears a freaking Tiara. And still he's cool, and an awesome fighter.

Im well aware Leafs a walking god in FE4, but FE5 a different story.

I had to make him good by giving him Vantage and Sol... plus his mediocre stats compared to everybody is just...bad

Leaf seems kinda cool but I like some of the other FE characters more than him so hopefully they get some more FE characters, that would be sweet.

Thracia 776 is a great game - arguably the first "modern" FE title. Had it not been released so late on SNES and been plagued by terrible marketing strategies, Im sure it would have been very successful. Even so, a quarter million units sold is by no means a "failure"...

Yes it was, for the reasons I stated earlier:

However, despite the fact it's sales weren't stellar, it is still a high respected game in Japan - FE7 used it's battle theme for the arena battles, afterall...

i could see him possibly being implemented into someone else's moves list and appearing as a costume, and actually that alone would make me very happy :chuckle: can't support him though... stafy hurt too mcuh
