Yeah, I'm sure you had pure intentions, it's just that 99% of the new people that come here aren't looking for roommates. It would've been different if you had been active in the community for a while and then brought it up to any friends you made during your stay. Most people would be uncomfortable rooming with a stranger, especially one from the interwebz :/

Hopefully your situation gets worked out soon.
