Pokemon silver gold?

But yeah, dajay. The earliest time I can possibly go to a tourney is mid march, but the only one available is in Michigan. Unless I can convince my parents to have strangers pick me up from my house and drive me OoS, I'm not going.

neon ness infracting for using an uncensored word. **** move dude, **** move.

EDIT:
i like how you completely ignored all of the good things about ness.

amazing fair, best pivot grab in the game, bthrow, he doesn't camped as hard as other characters because of his magnet, etc
lol wut? Why didn't you nesses tell me your pivot was so godly lmao

Ness' pivot grab is alright, it does slide back a good bit. It's like a backwards dash grab. If Ness had a better dash it could be more useful.

Fair is overrated. Sure there are little moves that outrange it and it's a very good defensive move, but I really hate the low defensive damage it does. You'll especially hate it when fighting characters who have good bairs and you exchange a fair with their bair, you get 10% damage and only give 1-2% damage. If it only had better hitstun so it could have some offensive capabilities like at the very least fair > jab/ftilt I'd like it better.

PSI Magnet is only a useful anti-camping tool if you master Magnet canceling (which I have). I admit it makes some matchups like Mario a ton easier since they like using fireballs a lot. It's pretty fun to Magnet cancel.

Yeah, that guy had no idea what he was talking about. After we pointed out his flaws (especially the PG one) he said this:

Maybe olimar, but i don't see how yoshi's or d3's are better than ness'.
All credibility, down the toilet.

We weren't talking about dash attack though... And if you dash attack gets shielded you're screwed.

I perfect space dash attack to only hit 2nd or 3rd hit. First hit ruins the dash attack.

Hitting people with first hit gives opportunity to SDI out and avoid latter hits. Third pops up, but on shield it is far enough away and near enough the end of the move that it isn't as bad. 2nd hit on shield is nearly as bad as the 1st, but if it hits then it pushes enough if they SDI to completely avoid every possible followup. Otherwise, lead to 3rd hit.

Spacing the dash attack well is basically awesome. Learn the spacing for the edges of the 2nd and third hits in relation to ness. The first hit is close, so it doesn't need to be learned. Also, it's the least useful part of the attack.

Also, have I said bair is unbelievably broken?

Edit: at what percents is dair>Pkt>pkt2 recommended generally for most characters? I have dair AC super perfected, so I can transition into the crazy combo (Ref's Ω project) much easier now if desired.

BAIR IS TOO GOOD TO PASS UP!! That 15% and that quick startup and lag time... (smiles extremely).

Dash attack is okay--> good when used without the first hit.
Ftilt is meh. Not many ways to throw it out there.
Utilt is awesome, but it's range is JUST too short.
Dair is unstoppable. AC dair is SOOOOOOO broke. Landing that is so safe it doesn't even matter how slow it is.
Nair is great for obvious.
Psimag is losing it's luster. I mean it still is awesome for moving around and stuff, but the wind is never easy to use and absorption opportunities are few and far between.
Dtilt is SOOOO pro. You've gotta know how and when to use it, and you can't be playing in any lag. Wifi ruins dtilt.
Uair is more broke than Nair. It's range from back is insane. It's range overall is insane. It also doesn't have crap landing lag.
Fair is very meh. It can transition things and can be used to space pressure, but overall don't use it unless your opponent is being a space-hogging *****.
Jab sucks. Ive been trying too hard to like it. Jab>dashgrab is awesome, jab's range is great... But the fact that it is so well shielded just ruins me.
All smashes suck. Don't care what you say. Usmash is the best of them, but it's still easy to wreck. Smashes are random usage based. They lag too much to use often.
Flash is worse than smashes. It has 2 uses, and both are luck based.
Fthrow is cOol.
Uthrow is okay... Opponents above can fall prey to Pkt.
Dthrow has gimmicks. Do it lots. Dash immediately after it gives so many options to you, character dependent.
Bthrow = too good, but cheap.
Pkt is awesome. Everyone agrees. Also pkt2.

I use PK fire enOugh that it doesn't need to be mentioned. It's good. Great at Causing opponents to go to bad places.

Play me.
I played a ness yesterday with fox and got hit by PKF at least 5 times, and I rolled away before he grabbed me everytime. Except once when I was right next to him and he batted me.
SDI 2 gud.

I don't only grab... Dash followup is freaking impossible to fool.

Pillar.
Dash. Always dash unless the character is Zelda, Wolf, Marth, or Falco. The timing is just good enough for fox so that you can rush in, perfect shield, wait for 2 pillar hits and Nair out or continue shielding. Ike's counter is telegraphed and easily guarded. So are others.
Any indication of shielding the pillar = pivot grab.
Any indication of jumping out = Nair.
Any indication of rolling = dash attack or FH Pkfire

All are interchangeable. The only character that actually destroys ness in PKfire is Marth.

My followup ability on wifi is crap, because lag makes all my perfect inputs read fractionally slower. Also, I'm at a state competition right now that doesn't involve video games.

Edit: forgot. Dash > shield is a safe optiOn just in case you are unsure of where they go. From there, FH PKfire, OoS Nair, FH Uair, SH FF Dair, and FH Bair are all extremely viable options to use based on what your opponent does. Grab is less viable due to lessened range.

Ness can limit options well. The problem is you need to be quick on your feet to get to where you need to be and also keep extremely accurate. Over the year, I've become much more precise with followups and getting to good spaces.

Though I backroll.

No one has as much bananas as I do when it comes to being hit by Ness' PK Fire I see. I break through that ****! I rush it head on! I take about 50% doing that!

You roll back ==> I adjust.

Nair will rock that. SH Nair > Uair gets most people's rolls.FH Nair > FF bair will always do something. Either that or dair AC'd. If I go to late or too short with the Nair, FH pkfire or PKjump adjustment gets everything.

Another pkfire just makes more choosy situations for my opponent, which I love doing. I can read most people like books.

Chuee, stop trolling and playing wifi. Trust me, I know my ****.

Hey Nesser's just stopping by to say hi.

How is Ness' metagame? Has he improved? Dropped in use? Are his main counters still prominent?

CHUEE! ROLLING SUCKS AGAINST NESS! If I were able to waste time arguing with you, I would, or if I could play you I would SHOW you that rolling doesn't do anything.

Lol you shield? If you roll, I expect the shield to block that followup and just Dashgrab. You are underestimating everything ness can do. Rolling with most characters won't improve their situation.

Despite the fact that lucario's roll is supah quick, playing with safe options to pressure on the fire still gets the opponent. Dash. After that, all options play out by "feeling out" the opponent with previous pkfires.

First PK fire: opponent gets stuck, but airdodges jumping out.
Solution for next: FH Nair> Uair by being close up on him. If you don't have spacing, ditch the Nair and go to a pkt.

First: roll.
Next: FH Pkfire, dashattack, yoyo... FH to landing bair....
