You're just stupid if you think a game that came out on the Snes in the 90's is supposed to measure to something today. The story was interesting, unique, and funny. But the gameplay was bland and generic. It played like literally any other RPG. Just because they replace Blizzard, Blizzara, and Blizzaga with PSI Freeze Alpha, Beta, Omega doesn't make it special.
Easier said than done, his dodge rolling stops my comboing out of PK fire which is how i rack up most of the damage, the down smash doesnt seem to hit him as he rolls behind me and the auraspheres seem to come at close range.Don't get grabbed.
Call his Dodge Rolls.
And Psi Magnet the Spheres.

are there any safe ways to damage lucario without leaving my self open or getting close enough to be grabbed?
This is the best advice you can get really, and by one of our best Ness mains. I'd use it.don't use pk fire like at all if that is the case (lucario has all day to hear you yell pk fire then roll behind you). dair/bair a lot more to try and catch his rolls. aura spheres should always be magnet canceled.
Dajay you know for a fact they sacrificed gameplay and graphics for the story. If you didn't that's ridiculous. Earthbound was way ahead of it's time. Also, how can you call it bland and generic when it was pretty much one of the first RPGs to EVER break away from traditional things like "mages" and "castles" and everything revolving around that.I never said I expected EB to live up to today's video game standards. Obviously the SNES has limits that don't exist today, so yes it would be stupid to expect such a thing.
That doesn't excuse the fact tgat the gameplay was the same of any generic RPG. I never said I hate EB, but I think Ness mains overhype it and I'll always feel EB is about a 8/10, which is a bit generous since I do enjoy the story.
To be fair chances are it goes both ways most of the time.TL;DR - American can't handle Japanese humor ever.
*Absolutely no random battles every 5 steps or so in a JRPG in the mid 90s where the enemies know you get stronger as well so you don't have to fight a "intense life or death" battle with a coil snake at level 99, as in this game didn't make you think those 99:99 hours of play like in some other JRPGs were the result of the game's story being long lol.The story was interesting, unique, and funny.
