He appears in Red, Blue/Green, Yellow, the Blue version in Japan, Gold, Silver and Crystal, as well as... Fire Red and Leaf Green. Thanks to the latter 2 games, he is also a third generation trainer, reflected in the moves his Pokemon can do they couldn't do in their original, retro games.

I like ness a lot more then lucas but i wouldn't really want him back if him and Lucas are gonna be the same. What bothers me the most is that they both could have had different move sets. Lucas could have had PK ground and they didn't even use the slingshot. tsk, tsk, tsk. Its all just wasted potential.

His spike is messed up, his grabs are considerably slower, his pk cannonball (when he hits himself with pk thunder) is nerfed in so many ways, etc.

Yeah, he's nerfed, he used to be top tier, now he's bottom, what does that say?


Now fox is a character that requires skill to use.

I would not suggest making comments that you'd f*** everyone up, there are a lot of really good smashers on the board, and truthfully, with your lack of understanding of the metagame, I doubt you're even up to the level of the average player on the boards.

All Pokemon in the first generation are playable in ALL generations. Besides that, Pokemon Trainer is a third generation trainer...

I used to think that Ness was gonna be in. I'm a big fan of Ness, but I gotta admit that when I look at all of the facts, Ness is gone.

Think about it like this:

Many Nintendo games have sequels. But in many many of those sequels, the main character is never replaced by someone else. Mario is always Mario, Kirby is always Kirby, etc. Earthbound had a sequel, but it starred Lucas, instead of Ness. Lucas was Ness' successor. The smash series uses the most updated version of a character or series. Link was replaced with his Twilight Princess self. So was Zelda. The Pokemon Trainer is the most recent reincarnation of the original Red/Blue/Green/Yellow trainer. Ike seems to be in in the place of Marth/Roy.

Looking at that kind of logic, I must say that Ness' chances are slim to none. But, then again, Sakurai can do anything.
