So, I was messing up with Ness in Lylat and found a... strange interaction when sometimes landing with Pk Fire on platforms. Instead of the projectile going diagonally down or just disappearing after hitting the platform, it just went horizontally. Weird.
After this interaction happening more and more as I retried it, I decided to lab this thing on training mode.
The tech is pretty simple to understand :
Step 1 : get at the edge of the stage or a platform.
Step 2 : Shorthop
Step 3 : At the 29th frame of your shorthop (counting jumpsquat), do a Pk Fire
Step 4 : Land
Congratulations, now your projectile is going straight horizontally!
It's not really easy to land, as it's litteraly frame-perfect, and the only practical use (outside of flexing with your tech skill) is to hit your opponent standing on the opposed platform, as they usually won't expect this Pk Fire trajectory.
Not gonna lie, this frame-perfect tech serves little purpose, but still, it's kinda cool.
What do you think about it?
