i really personally doubt that you can grab me and combo me till i die. there are just too many factors that you would probably have to predict involving my DI and my teching patters for you to say that. plus...i'd have to be at pretty high percent for just a grab jump off nair to kill me. it doesn't have that much knockback to begin with, and if i DI up like i would if i saw it coming, i'd be really surprised if, with ganons recovery, i wouldn't be able to get back. I think you'll need more than one grab to kill ganon.
money mike...and cool. i used a run-off -> dair once...it was really fun. (google ganon runoffs, **** looks too cool).
TJ, i'm not saying i want your mario. I'm just saying i want your best character, or at least the character that really has the best chance of beating me. i was just basing my statements off of the last extended time i played you that i remember. i think it was the morning before a biweekly or something, and we were in your room. you played DK almost the whole time, and i won almost all the matches. then you went mario, won 2 out of three or something, and then went back to DK. And never went peach at all. It just didn't make sense to me, after beating your DK a bunch, you win mario, gain the upper hand in wins, and then go back to the character i was beating you with.
Idk what your playstyle is like right now, and idk who your best character is. but if i beat your DK 30 times, then you go peach and beat me 5 times, and then switch back to DK because you "think he's a better matchup", i will be confused, and admittedly aggravated.

Doc wins just because he can combo into Kobe. Mario's kills are usually pretty well telegraphed, but he can combo and stack on damage better... so I guess it's more or less up to preference in playstyle.

His recovery hurts him though, and doc's utilt isn't as good as mario's.. and doc is slow compared to mario... lol

From my view, Mario can play a much more loose, freeform game than DK. The Ganon match seems like Ganon with be spacing Fairs/Bairs the whole time. DK will be spacing Bairs, trying to get in. DK does not have the mobility to pressure Ganon. Ganon will fair, DK will shield, DK has a **** shield which his head pokes out of, DK gets knocked of the stage, Daired, ITS DONE ITS DONE. Even if DK gets a grab, his cargo schenanigans(i don't think) aren't nearly as effective as they are on a Fastfaller. Mario has alot more versatility, albeit still not having the matchup in his favor. Fireballs alone make him a better candidate than DK. FJDair -> FFUair -> GrabDthrow ->whatever. SHBawding is AWESOME. Especially if they shield the bair and try to shield grab you or something. You waveland away from the grab and then immediately come in with a Fair(which is like, the best combo starter in the WORLD) and rock their world. SHbawd at like mid-low percents -> PIVOT UTILT IS SO HOT. I did that **** to Josh before. Hell, I think I did it TJ in a Mario ditto too. SHBawd-> Pivot utilt -> Uair -> Uair -> missed the Fair -> aww dang I suck.
As far as the whole Doc/MArio thing goes, my view is that Mario seems to have a slight speed advantage, at least frame data wise. MArio seems to be potentially faster than Doc. However Doc can kill much better. Their different moves serve different purposes. Doc's Fair is obviously a kill move. and only that. Mario's Fair is a freaking AWESOME combo starter/ mediocre spike. Doc's Pills deal more damage and have a better trajectory. MArio's recovery is WAY better.
And to continue the discussion, do people feel disrespected when I don't play ICs? Because I usually play Falcon/random low-tiers And even when I do play ICs, do you feel disrespected when I don't play gay and chaingrab/infinite you?

I can't really say I have a main. I just play well against different people with different characters. Mario gets me against chris, apparently. My peach is the only thing that can stand up to cam. Apparently My DK does WAY better against smith than my mario does. . . .*or maybe its because I played mario on fourside. . . .idk* For some reason my roy does better against falcons. And my BOWSER. . . has an easier time now against jason *or should I say gayson* fox.
I'm so confused.

TJ can't use Mario's Uair combo yet and its embarrassing. This is another reason why I'm reluctant to play mario in public.

Why would you ever even consider playing DK or Mario as a main?
Save yourself some heartache/don't be a *******, and play Peach.

Its like, when I play DK or mario, at least I know what I'm trying to hit. I have some level of control.
With peach, I can throw turnips and have them hit when I want. Other than that, I'm just guessing.

TJ, you need to EXPERIMENT with **** more to see when it's time to u-air combo. you obv have the ability to u-air combo, you just don't ever experiment with it. that's why friendlies ****. f*ck sticking in your corner with your old playstyle, try to branch out y'know?

I do cam. I do. You saw me trying to get the CG, right? Thats experimentation.
The hardest part of playing well for me is to override muscle memory. I go in for the grab. Check. But when I get it, my instinct and habit tell me to back throw. Before I can even think that I might get a CG, my fingers are already going for the back throw.
THAT is where I **** up a lot of the time.
Its getting better, though. Now I can get 2 regrabs *on average* before I **** up and press backward.
My problems in smash
- muscle memory
- not wanting to "main"
- lack of creativity *marginal*
- lack of a killer attitude (the difference between waiting on stage to edge guard and going out to make sure the opponent is DED.)
I'm getting over the last one, by going off stage to kill, and I'm getting more creative. Just bear with my stubborness for a while and then I can work on mastering myself.

thats not really good enough of a reason to not main though. if you start playing one primary character, you'll eventually work past that memory and be able to throw effectively.
I'm stuck in the same position you are right now though. I can't find a real main.

as for not wanting to "main,"
i know how u feel. when i mained fox, i got 'ancy' and wanted to switch it up from time to time, so I decided i would main fox and falco at the same time, however far that got me.
i think if u just stick it out for a while and commit to maining a particular character, then u will get a lot better with ur main and enjoy "maining" more than u do. after genesis, armada's advice to aspiring smashers was to stick with one character and refine ur game with each matchup, or something to that effect.
@ocean: i HIGHLY recommend picking a high to top tier, for the sheer reason that their metagames have evolved so much that for advice on any doable matchup (which should be most matchups for a high tier), many people can help on the boards and videos of what you need will be in excess on youtube

I'm only decent vs Sheik right now with both my Peach and Falcon. My Falcon is definitely better, regardless of how you did in our mms, DJ. I think you just didn't know what to do against Peach. And Sheik vs Falcon is probably the simplest sh*t imaginable in the game.
And sure, $1,000,000 mm.
lol, you only go even with my Peach and can occasionally pull out a win, but I remember tearing your little *** apart every so often last time.
