I think you should smack yourself for creating this thread...Sakurai has already stated in his journal that anime characters can NOT get in...that and there are and have been Naruto threads, most of which are either dead or closed, FOR A REASON!!

In sumnation, if Naruto is in Brawl, I will personally go to Sakurai's development office, and smack the man...

Lucario was based from the game. The anime just increased his popularity.

Narutimate Hero 1-3 and Narutimate Accel 1 and 2 are available for PS2 if you want a Naruto Fighting game. They even have advance techs and everything. Knock yourself out. Lol

That's why I said if. As in, if the physics governing the world exploded and the universe broke. Then, maybe. I just felt left out not having a closer...

Anyway, for all intents and purposes, Lucario IS an anime character. That's the only place where he stands out. Otherwise, why not make Aipom playable? Yes, there's nothing special about Pikachu besides his Anime appearance, but that appearance has made him the icon of the franchise. He's in not because of the anime, he's in because the anime made him the iconic pokemon, the symbol of the franchise. Pichu because he was an advertisement for gold/silver. Mewtwo because he's the only "evil" pokemon, and another villain is always welcome. Jigglypuff because... Who knows. Maybe Sakurai has an odd fettish for pink baloons. Lucario had one thing that made him special, and that was one major role in one minor movie. He's not the symbol, he's not the gimmick, he's not the wtf. He's lucario. And that's all.
