I like making quick sketches and things, so I thought I might aswell make a thread. I do what I can from time to time.



Detail of Dali's Dream of a virgin.



I covered Dali when I was doing art at school and his work is a favourite of mine. I'll finish that over the weekend.


Quick job...have to adjust the hand...I'll try finish this soon.




Sadly all my schoolwork is missing, hopefully I'll get my hands on some of them.

I'M BACK LOL.

Thanks for the comment, really appreciated.

My advice to you is just find a drawing style that suits you. Don't try imitating other styles, instead just draw how you like. I doodle nearly all the time, that's how I improve my style. Vary your subject matter and keep drawing, and don't get too caught up in the details. If you do you can get really frustrated. I've been there before...and don't worry if you don't produce perfect sketches.

Most important of all, enjoy drawing :).

cool stuff, never really god how people got so good at sketchin n drawing. everytime i tried it would look like **** :(

Very nice stuff! Your style seems to be emerging at a steady pace. Never stop drawing, you have a gift my friend.

I've been requesting this to different people, but so far no one has provided me with anything. Can you draw a picture of Ridley punching a nun holding a baby? Make it as bloody and gory as possible please!

I'll certainly give it a go. Is it ok if I do it in a comic layout? Also, is it essential the nun holds a baby, because I can see that complicating things.

I'll tell you what I'll do because I know for sure that drawing the baby is going to be fiddly lol.

I'll do it without the baby see how it turns out, see if you like it and then I'll have a go with the baby. I'll start working on it tomorrow.

EDIT: Also punch or great fireball of death lol?

you should consider getting into digital art...

also,

can you draw a sort of "zero suit peach'

thad be an awesome crossover.

I just use any pencil I find to be honest lol. For the eagle one I used a much darker one.

Yeah I just got photoshop and I like experimenting with digital art but for now I feel much more comfortable just drawing. My long time goal is to try and make some original t shirts.

comfortable with traditional right now,messing with digital until i get the hang of it...
ive always wanted to make my own T designs..

(arent Photoshop layers just horrible?..)

If you are considering to move into digital art, I suppose you will have some trouble drawing with the mouse. So I would recommend you purchase a Tablet where you can draw on and it magically appears on the screen =O. I'm going to get one too when I'm going to study Multimedia design.

You are on the right track. Love the shading.

About the tablet thing, be sure to get a good one right away; trust me on this. Cheapness is expensive in the end. Get the best possible tablet and you won't regret it.

Thanks for all the feedback.

Concerning Photoshop and digital art, I only use it at the moment for experimentation. I doubt I'll purchase a tablet in the near future but maybe in the long term when I hopefully start designing.

And I've decided I'm not going to draw any zero suit's. Sorry.
