If one of those characters other than mega man made it in, I would be ecstatic.

Yaay sora. Megaman isnt really that popular anymore. they said they werent gonna make any more games... Sora is on the top of my list.

I think that megaman would fit it quite nicely. I would really like to see a lot of the old school characters return though, that would definitely make my day.

Well if we're talking about an unlimited number and about anyone who meets the requirements, my only additions to that list would be Ryu Hayabusa and Travis Touchdown (even if his game hasn't been released yet, it looks amazing).

You know, I hadn't thought of that, but that would be quite awesome. Talk about a true battle of classics - Nintendo's first character vs the first big video game hit.

Nope. Silicon Knights developed the game when they were second party, but Nintendo reserved the rights to the game, characters, etc, so technically shes first party (just like Golden Sun - produced by a second party developer, ownership reserved by Nintendo, thus first party).
