Not bad at all mate, I'd have to say my favorite is the monochrome at the top. It seems to be cropped better imo, and the bg has some nice movement to it.

Try this trick the next time you draw someone in a pose - push one of their feet back in space, instead of having both feet lie on the same plane. You'd be surprised how much this little change does to the life of a drawing. When both feet lie flat, it takes away a third dimension that the pose would otherwise be good at showing, for example, Ganon's bending leg on the right would have some sweet perspective on it.

I also prefer the top colored one, the bg adds so much to the whole thing and there's much more in terms of flow/movement.

Also, careful about using pitch black for areas of shadow, it lends a really jarring contrast in the 2nd image. Shadows can be any number of colors that can add to the overall color harmony instead of just having black blobs in those spaces.

I like seeing the overall progression from the linework to the finished product though. Did you use a softer brush in the 2nd image? Some edges look blurry--sometimes it's better to block in hard edged general shapes at first and then work on softer inner details.

Really good stuff. Post some more :D

thanks guys! for the tips and comments. I am a self taught artist and appreciate constructive critisim.

Geist, yea your right that one leg was tricky for me.. it was a odd angle i have never really experimented with before. lol I shall practice some more form like that.

Neon, hmmm.. I think i did hard colors first then some softer but i kept adding alot more coloring and smudging that it turned out like that lol. I am fairly new to digital painting and i have to say this is probably my best work ive done by far, there is still so much to learn! :)

Anyone is welcome to post a drawing of your favorite character too, i'd love to see some other smash characters.

I may just have to do wario now or samus that be fun.

Truth told I think Ganon should be slightly taller. He just doesn't look like the king of evil in the picture. The colors were vibrant and you art style was unique though.
