NIGHT AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS…

WHAT?

All Elite Wrestling is an American professional wrestling promotion started in 2019 by Tony Khan, Cody Rhodes, and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). After the enormous success of the independent wrestling PPV All In, Tony Khan decided that there was enough demand for a second major wrestling promotion in the United States and helped start AEW. The promotion’s weekly television show, AEW Dynamite, would premiere on the Warnermedia owned TV network, TNT, in October of 2019; a second show, AEW Rampage, would debut on TNT in May of 2021. AEW quickly gained a reputation for amazing matches and great storylines, which led to a fast growing audience. The roster of AEW has a wealth of great and legendary wrestlers making for plenty of options for a representative in MultiVersus.

WHY?

An AEW wrestler could bring a unique and interesting moveset to MultiVersus, as the wrestler’s moveset would utilize wrestling maneuvers. It would be somewhat similar to how Incineroar is used in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The wrestling maneuvers could bring some realism to MultiVersus, since most of the roster uses movesets based on fantasy or cartoonish aspects. AEW’s roster is also filled with diverse and eclectic wrestlers which could diversify and deepen MultiVersus’ roster. Having an AEW representative on MultiVersus’ roster would also be an opportunity for Warnermedia to advertise more of their television shows beyond those on Cartoon Network and HBO.

Awesome Kong, Diamond Dallas Page, Keiji Mutoh (The Great Muta), Greg Valentine, Raven, and The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, have all made appearances for AEW and could also be potential representatives despite not being signed to the promotion. This also goes for NJPW, IMPACT, STARDOM, and TJPW wrestlers as AEW has good relations with those promotions.

As for a stage, a regular Dynamite ring could be used in a way similar to Punch-Out's stage in Smash Bros. To change it up, a steel cage could be brought down randomly during a match. There also could be weapons, like tables, ladders, chairs, kendo sticks, and thumbtacks at ringside.

Some music that could be used:
