If you read his biograph for the game, shaggy eat a strange rock candy that gave him his super saiyan god zoinks power and the gleamium is the currency money we use to pay for the game.

Comparing the rock candy shaggy eat and the gleamium would speculate that the gleamium made shaggy strong maybe even powerful.

Honestly? I feel like this was literally just a background they happened to pick. I don't think this was ever meant as a Spinel tease, and we only thought it was because we overspeculate on some things. I wouldn't even honestly be surprised if whoever made this didn't even know what the background was, they just picked something from Steven Universe and went with it.

You are probably right but they managed to pick to pick a location from Steven Universe that is not innocuous or generic , and it is for a character I want playable so I have gone full...

I do think it's interesting that they have an image of The Garden in the media library for this game, it's a very specific location and I'm fairly certain that the background is original art (I don't recognize it). My guess is that Spinel is a planned character for way down the line, alongside a Garden stage, and whoever made this image used a rough draft for The Garden as a background because it's more interesting than the Sky Arena, not realizing that this would send people into a frenzy.

I don't know. This is the longest this game has gone between character additions, and with the long wait I think that we might actually get someone who isn't in the datamines.

Because they could have had their schedule altered by higher ups to force in a currently undatamined character in order to promote an upcoming release.

I think I already mentionned it in the past, but with how huge The last of us series is right now on HBO I wouldn't be surprised if Joel and/or Ellie would join the game as the first or one of the first non WB character in the future.

Not necessarily. None of the Fortnite skins for Playstation characters are exclusive to PlayStation. It's really only Nintendo that's obsessive about exclusivity

Kratos was a PlayStation exclusive in Mortal Kombat, Cole Macgrath Kuro and Toro were exclusive in Street Fighter x Tekken, Spider-man was a timed exclusive for Avengers, etc. Sony also pays for 'blocking rights' to prevent developers from adding content to competing subscription services like Game Pass. Some of their flagship titles are multiplatform like The Last of Us so I wouldn't worry in this instance, but my point is that PlayStation doesn't always cooperate
